Walkthrough "House of Mermaids"

A detailed walkthrough of the pixel quest Dom Rusalok from an independent Russian developer Yakov Butuzov


After the introduction, go left (keys A / D) and get a knife from the lower left locker. Having done this, exit through the door on the left (optionally examining the rest of the items in the room).

Move to the right, chat with the aunt and follow on. You will meet two guys - Vadik and Ilya - who have lost a soccer ball. Go all the way to the right and enter the entrance of the house. Inside, to the right of the elevator lies the ball . Together with the ball, return to the two boys. Click on the ball and then on Vadik in the red T-shirt. After giving the ball, you will receive a cigarette . To the right of the boys there is an alley where you can go. Move there and meet a blond girl. She will ask for a cigarette. Give her a cigarette. The girl introduces herself as Beata, and then leaves.


Now you can enter the boiler room, the entrance to which was covered by the girl. Once you've done that, examine the toolbox to find Carbide . The path to the right is blocked by a jet of steam. Exit and return to your yard. To the right of the aunt, there is an urn with tar under it. Pick up this stone and chew it on the main character. Return to the boiler room and insert the chewed tar intoa pipe from which steam pours. Go to the right and take out the hammer from the cabinet. Exit the boiler room and go right to meet two other boys, Lesha and Kesha. They are building a hut. Give them the hammer to get a bottle of water .

Return to the street where the boys were looking for the ball. Go all the way to the right, but shortly before entering the residential building (where the ball was found), inspect the TV. In inventory, combine the carbide and water bottle to get a carbide bomb. Apply it to the TV. After the explosion, go left, past the garages, where your aunt is already waiting for you. Tell her the truth (that the TV exploded, but you have nothing to do with it). She will say that that blond girl is probably to blame for everything.

Go back to your house and use the knife on the clothesline. Having received the clothesline, give it to Lesha and Kesha, who are building a halabuda. Then Dasha will appear, and the guys will start playing hide and seek. You will search. Go to the halabuda and make your way through the hole to the right of it. Follow to the left and meet Lesha. The rest of the guys will appear, who will tell the story about the "House of Mermaids". In the end, all the guys will go inside. Go right while learning different things and chatting with friends. At the very end, Zhenya will fall down. Walk to the right and find the entrance to the cave. In the end, the guys will go home.


On ?The next day you will go to the library. Go inside and chat with Masha. Go to the librarian and talk to her. After receiving the card, return to the table to the left of Masha and take the pen from there. Combine the pen and card in your inventory, and then give the completed card to the librarian. It turns out that Zhenya forgot the list of books. Ride your bike home and take out the list of books from the cupboard in the center. Return to the library and give the list to the librarian. Walk all the way to the right until you find a computer. You can study it. Enter numbers and press Enter to navigate through the categories. Using back you can go back, and the exit command will allow you to close the computer. Return to the librarian, but she will not find books. Talk to Masha and go outside. Kesha will pass by. Now you will control Lesha. When mom leaves, go to the right end of the room and take out the cartridge from the drawer. Insert it into the console and play a strange game. Exit the room through the door on the left, answer the phone, and then knock out the plugs. Exit to the floor and go up the stairs. Go to the attic, follow to the right and interact with the shield. Take the video cassette from the drawer.


Now you control Dasha. Talk to Yura and Sofa. In the end, Sofa will ask you to bring turpentine (you may need to try to leave the office). Go to the right end of the room and get the turpentine from the wall box, to the right and above Yura. Give the item to Sofa, after which the lesson will end. Walk left until you stop. The tram will not appear, so Dasha decides to take a walk. Move to the left until you come across a demob and his brother. When one of them begins to threaten, use the hole in the fence on the right. Move right to a dead end. Examine the front glass of the car. Dasha will say that she sees a screwdriver. Return to the left, to the beginning of the location, pick up a brick and break the glass. Having received a screwdriver , unscrew the ventilation grill to the left of the car and make your way into the building.

To the right of the ventilation, an ax hangs on the wall. Go even more to the right and find a massive metal door. There is a lever on the side of it. Drop it. The first bulb will light up, you need to light two more. Walk left to the next location. Behind the first door it will be possible to read the letter, but the second one will be boarded up. Use the found ax on it. Go through the door and follow to the left. Use another door to get into the locker room. Take out the rusty key from the locker, and lower another lever to the right of it. Remained?? turn on the last light. Walk to the right and open the far door with the key. Behind it will be a room with a panel, but without a lever. You need to find the missing lever. Go back two rooms and on the left you will see slugs with a lever sticking out of them. Take the item, insert the lever into the panel and lower it. Return to the beginning and go through the door on the right, which is now open. Walk forward, follow the voice, go down and interact with an incomprehensible creature.


While controlling Kesha, pick up the phone over the fireplace. Then the father will ask to bring the box. Walk to the right and take the blue box from the cabinet. Take it to your father in the back room. At his request, go out into the corridor and find a wallet in the cabinet to the right of the fireplace. Leave the house, walk past the pharmacy, which is closed. Choose how to react to the old woman. You can agree, and then walk past the store, but refuse to go to Kesha's lane. Enter the store and go to the far back room. The door will close behind you. Approach it, and then go down the stairs to the left. Walk to the right and interact with the door. Take the glasses from the dresser on the left and go all the way to the right, and then back. Eventually, the episode will end.

You are in control of Zhenya again. Now he was at an abandoned facility, where the gopniks hid the bike. Walk left, go through the doorb and go to the right already together with Masha. In the bedroom, you will notice a hatch in the ceiling. On the right is a TV, and in the box below it are the keys . Return to the beginning and go right. Open the door with the keys and take the crowbar . Follow the bedroom and lower the hatch in the ceiling. Climb up to the attic, look around, then go downstairs and go to the exit. Hallucinations will begin.


Walk to the right and go up the stairs. Take the pliers from the cabinet to the left of the stairs. Remove the chain from the door on the right and go outside. Move to the right, through the playground, where a page from Masha's diary will lie. Make your way through the graveyard until the episode ends.

Now you need to manage Lesha. Beata offered to go to her house and watch the tape on the video. But the watchman closed the house. Walk to the right and find a hole in the wall. Make your way through it and follow Beata. When you stop in front of the dog, take a stick on the left, go to the dog and apply on him. Decide how to be - hit or throw a stick. Go back through the door, to the left and open the grate with a screwdriver. You will find a red scarf . Go through the big door again and to the right. Climb up the stairs to the store's back room. Find eggs, a loaf, and milk, and then decide whether or not to keep the money. There is also a key hanging on the wall, with which you can open the back room door and leave the store. Return home, after which Karina will refuse to return and meet Dasha. From it, go to the left, slide down the hill and enter the sewer. Go right until you reach a dead end. Try to go back. You are in control of Zhenya again. Examine the folder on the windowsill and take out the clYuchik. Use it to open the door on the right. Go through another door and see another one with a flickering light. To the right, there is a table with a drawer on which a strange creature is sitting. Go through the door to the toilet. At the very beginning, on the left, there is a washbasin in which the keys lie. A box of matches also hangs on the wall, and a bottle of alcohol lies a little to the right. At the top right there is a window sealed with tape. Go back, pour the creature with alcohol and burn it with matches. Open the drawer with the keys and take the sharp blade . Use it to remove the tape from the window and get out.

The next day, Beata and Lesha will go to the address from the videotape. After entering the house, examine the door on the right. Go left and pull the wire from the teddy bear on the cabinet. Give the item to Beate so that she breaks open the door. Examine the photo on the right behind the door to find the key on the back side. Open the box with them on the cabinet on the left and inspect the contents. Go left and see a door with a combination lock. Study it. The key is missing. Go to the room on the left and read the note on the typewriter. On the left is a box. Remove the key from there and install it in place. In the box that you opened with the key, there is a photograph with the year - 1962. Interact with the combination lock, use the keyboard??ru to enter the code 1962 and press Enter. Go through the door. Look at the TV and go to the room on the right to talk to Beat.

You control Zhenya. Answer the phone and eavesdrop on the conversation between grandma and grandpa. Going outside, Zhenya, together with Lesha and Beata, will go to the tunnel where Masha disappeared. After losing consciousness, go to the right, after which the door will slam shut. Walk to the right and talk to Kesha, who is locked up. Go to the right and lower the lever on the red wall panel. Pick up broken glasses from the floor and talk to Kesha. Take the blue electrical tape from the drawer on the left and combine it with the glasses. Give the glasses to Kesha. Walk to the right and examine the large gate. Examine the device to the left of them. Go back and take out the card from the large cabinet. Apply it to the device at the gate. When the elevator doors open, go inside.

After going down, go all the way to the left and find the door of the bunker. Closed tightly. Go back and examine the room 7 door to the right of the elevator. Closed, key on watch. If you go to the right, you will come across a bare cable. Go back and go through the door to the left of the elevator. Use the shield to turn off the power, and go all the way to the right. In the back room there will be a protective suit, near which lies the key . Take it and return to the shield room.Turn on the power and enter room 7 using the key you found. Before interacting with the computer, you need to find the code. The drawer has a note and a book called AELITA. This is the code! You can also enter the ALIEN code on the computer to get the achievement. After entering the code, type exit. Kesha will say that something happened. Go through the bunker door.

You will meet comrades. Zhenya and Beata will go in search of a way out. Exit the room and go right. Open the first door and interact with the red remote on the wall. Something happened. The next room will have a freezer and a broken TV. Go even more to the right, go through the door behind the green bars, inspect the office and get a strange book from the drawers. You can also look at the computer.

Go back. There is an archive to the left of the bunker door. Inside there will be a file cabinet requiring a three-digit code. More to the left there will be a room with an audio recorder. Finally, there will be a barricaded door in the back room. Go even further to the left and enter the next room on the new screen. You will see a control room with an elevator. Exit and go to the archive. Enter the code 312 and take the floppy disk. Insert it into the computer in the far right room. Beata will disappear. Return to the room to Lesha and Kesha. They are not there either. Go left, into the second room where you wereand a barricaded door. Now it is open. Go there, search the corpse and get a key card. Insert it into the panel nearby and go to the next room on the left to use the elevator.

Go to the next room, examine the notebook. To the right there is a pneumomail, which says that you need to urgently call room 45. Having done this, examine the notebook and see the room number - 255447. Go to the phone and slowly dial this number (don't forget that it should scroll). A niche will open. Take the scalpel, go through the door on the right and cut the strange creature. After receiving the item, go to the right and open the door. Answer the call and then leave this place using the elevator. At the end of the game, take the video cassette from the case to the left of the door and insert it into the TV.
