The captain who gives out this story quest is located in the courtyard of the prison called "Devil's Crossing". First, talk to Jarvis, who will meet you at the ritual circle. Next, go down and to the right. Above the desired character should be a "question mark". You can navigate by a pillar with a lantern (it is located right next to it). Chat with the captain about everything. He will tell you that someone revives the dead using energy. He wants you to put an end to this. By the way, the quest will not become active, so don't worry.
After a conversation with Captain Bourbon, move across the bridge to the north (top of the map). Fight your way through the ruins of the Lower Crossing area, following the directions given to you by Bourbon. In the end, somewhere above and to the right, you should find the entrance to the cave under the "Burial Hill". There is an entrance on the left, as in the screenshot below. The entrance is marked on the map with the symbol of a "golden star" or "golden eye". The screenshot below shows this location:
As soon as you find yourself in a burial cave, then move deeper into it. See the glowing green spot? This is an ethereal crystal. If it is not destroyed, then the dead will appear indefinitely. So first break the crystal, and then kill the opponents. By the way, take the crystals with you, they will come in handy soon. Find and kill the boss named Kezogg the Reanimator. It is located in the southeast corner of the cave. The enemy gladly calls the dead into battle. It is best to try to kill him first, and only then the remaining enemies. After the death of Kezogg, some of the dead will die.
A ruined altar can be found in the cave. It is located near the place where two ethereal crystals are stuck in the ground. If you donate one of the ethereal crystals to restore the altar, you will receive experience and other useful items.
After the Reanimator is killed, inform Captain Bourbon about the successful completion of the mission to receive a reward.

Kasparov can be found in a house not far from the big gate in Devil's Crossing Prison. As for Barnabas, he is outside the prison walls, near the windmill, in the south.

Barnabas will tell you that although the pump is already working, the problem has not been fixed yet. The problem is that the water is poisoned. He suspects that there is a nest of slugs in the cave, which is poisoning the water. You must find and kill Vilos (Slis) the Poisoner. The entrance to the dungeon is located a little higher on the map, between Barnabas and Kasparov. Move to the other end of the dungeon and go through the door to go down even lower. There will be other opponents at this location. Kill them all. At the end of the location, Slis or Vilos the Poisoner is waiting for you. Destroy the enemy. I advise you to stock up on health elixirs.

You will need to climb to the north of the map, go through the Unclean Swamps, the Damp Hollow and the Foggy Flats. In the end, you will find yourself near a place where you can repair the bridge. You can do it. But you need to go down the slope, behind the active point that allows you to repair the bridge. Below will be the entrance to the cave - follow inside. Go a little lower and find the portal of the Flooded Passage. If you manage to fix the bridge, then you can not go into the cave. In a fight with goblins, try to kill shamans first of all, otherwise they will heal their warriors and you will have to fight much longer in time.
If you still went through the cave, then know that the exit is at the top, to the north. Just before the exit, you will need to kill the stone golem. In principle, you need to act as usual - attack the enemy and periodically heal. Exit the cave and activate the portal on the outskirts of the Thistle. Follow north until you reach the village.
Approach the portal of the village of Thistle and destroy the enemies. There will be three attacking waves of monsters in total. They will spawn from all sides of the portal. Each next wave will be stronger and more powerful than the previous one. When the third wave is destroyed, the portal will become active.
Click on it and select "Devil's Crossing" on the map. Report to Bourbon about the completion of the task.

Return to the territory of the village of Thistle. Kill nearby enemies. In total there are several descents into the dungeon, but they do not suit you. You need to go east, to the right of the village. You must get to a completely different location - "Thistle Manor" !!! Here are the correct screenshots:
On the main road go right and up. Two descents will be marked on the left and right on the map - they do not suit you! Move higher. On the left, by the way, there will be a defiled altar. Opposite it, but to the right of the road, there will be a passage to the courtyard of the Commandant's estate. There is a sign at the entrance. Go into the house, go up to the top floor and go down another ladder. From the backyard, find the door leading to the basement. Get down. It is noteworthy that this door will not be marked on the map.
You will need to move to the lower right corner of the dungeon. There will be many enemies, as usual. Go through the door to go down even lower. You will find yourself in the Underpass. Go left and up, along the edge of the dungeon. When Abandoned Warehouses appears on the screen, then go to the wall on the right and find the place that can be destroyed. Keep moving up, then go right. After a few minutes on the right, you should find a secret laboratory and a portal.
Now move up through the living quarters, the inner lab, and the underground prison (in that order). In the underground prison, there will be a gate at the top. After killing everyone, open the gate and go forward. The battle will begin against Commandant Sig. Kill him. Please note that the battle will consist of two stages. When Sig runs out of health, he will restore it and become even more powerful. When he wants to stamp his foot, it is advisable to run away.
