Walkthrough UnderDread

The walkthrough describes not only the actions that allow you to go through the storyline, but also indicates all the places where you can find secret notes - scrolls with a red or blue ribbon.

Prologue

Start a new game. After the opening credits, go ahead and find yourself in a spacious room. On the left, there is a stone door that you need to open. Approach the table against the wall ahead. Move the white dot in the center of the screen to the box in the table and click the left mouse button. So you can open this box. Inside you will find a stone figurine. This is the key. Click on it to put it in your inventory.

You can open the inventory by pressing the I key. There is a scroll with a red ribbon on the surface of the table. Click on it to pick it up. There are many such scrolls in the game. They do not go into your inventory, but are saved in the journal. To open the magazine, press the J key. So do it. Read the detective's note 1 .

Please note that scrolls can also be with a blue ribbon. You can also select and read them, but they do not carry any useful information. If you open the journal, you will see two bookmarks - red and blue. They contain entries from scrolls with red and blue ribbons, respectively. By reading the entries in the red tab, you can find clues to solve puzzles, etc. Examining the entries in the blue tab will only allow you to delve a little further into the story.

There is a chest to the right of the table. Open it and take the second stone key. To the left of the same table is a ladder. More to the left is a pedestal. On the cabinet is a red scroll with a note from the detective 2 . The third stone key is to the right of the passage through which you came here. There is a pedestal there. Open the drawer and take the third stone key. From the curbstone, go to the right, into the corridor. Ahead will be a room with a monster. Press the G key to scare off the enemy. Go to the back of the room and take the fourth stone key from the cabinet. Return to the stone door and click on it several times to insert all four keys into the holes.

Lock

As soon as you appear, take a scroll with a red ribbon from the table on the left - a note from the detective 3 . Now go to the back of the room with tables. Close to the wall is a bookcase. To the left of the cabinet, literally a few centimeters away, is a stand with a extinguished torch. Pull this torch to reveal a hidden passage.

Go there, open the door and go down the stairs. Immediately turn the stairs to the right. There will be a table here. Take two scrolls with red ribbons from the table - detective's note 4 and madman's note 1 . The way forward will be blocked by a fallen statue. Go to the other side of the stairs. The far wall will have a grate that you can go through. Pick up a scroll from the floor, near the dead man - a note from the detective 5 .

Climb back up the same stairs, but one flight. On the left is a grate, near which there is a statue of a warrior. Just left-click on this statue to open a passage further.

Riddle with levers, a statue and a flying monster

Follow forward and up the stairs on the left above. You will hear a howl. A hint will appear on the screen. Go to the indicated place and duck by pressing CTRL or the C key. Just wait. Soon you will see flying skulls. You must avoid meeting them. If the skulls are nearby, then you need to duck behind some object. In this case, if you can hide behind the object, then the usual cursor point turns into an open eye. If you successfully hid, then the eye closes and you see only the arc.

When the monster flies past, then come out of hiding and look to the right. Ahead is a locked wooden door. Go to the center of this hall, where there is a statue with four blue lights. Behind the statue there are tables where you can find three notes of a detective and a madman at once. To the left of the tables are two cabinets, each with two drawers. In the lower drawer of the left tube, find a scroll with a blue ribbon - a scientist's diary 5 . Find an ancient coin and a hint in the bottom drawer of the right cabinet. Find the protective amulet in the top drawer of the left cabinet. Such an amulet allows you to use the G button and drive the monster away for a while. And so you have to hide from him periodically. There are at least two more ancient coins at the location. But we don't know yet what to do with them.

Go to other tables and pieces of furniture on the other side of the statue with four blue lights. To the left you will immediately see a chest. There is a lever with a red light on the floor next to the chest. Click on the lever to activate it. The green light will turn on. In the same corner, find another lever, which is located in one of the two remaining chests. Activate it. There are two more scrolls with blue ribbons scattered on the floor.

Another lever is inside the chest located where you found the previous scrolls. So, all this is good, but what should be done? The location has two dozen levers at once (approximately). They have two positions - red and green. The red position of any lever slightly lowers the very statue with blue lights down. You must lower it down. So, you need to set the red position on ALL levers. There are levers in two places - next to the statue and in the depths of the location where the monster flies (there will be an armory room with swords, shields and ordinary statues).

In the armory, you will find levers on the shelves of a bookcase, inside chests, next to statues and swords (the lever in the far right corner is especially invisible if you move away from the statue with lights).

As for the levers near the statue with lights, they are in three places - on the left, where there are tables and cabinets, on the right, where there are three chests and a fallen statue, and in the place where you first hid (the lever is on the bookcase shelf, but it is initially in the red position). Yes, not all levers will need to be switched - some are initially in the red position. Particularly invisible is the lever under the fallen statue, to the right of the statue with lights, where there are three chests.

Finally, the lever you most likely missed is located right by the steps that you climbed to this part of the castle. At the top of the steps. You will find it if you approach this place. It is in the green position - toggle it.

When all the levers are in the red position, then return to the statue. The statue must be torn off the ground by literally 20 centimeters. Click on it and you will see the inscription. You need to put something in here. Find a green stone in the location. It, like part of the levers, will be in an arbitrary place. You will easily recognize him. In size, it is slightly smaller than the stone keys that we were looking for at the very beginning of the game. When you have the gem, then go to the statue and click on it. Go through the opened wooden door. You may have noticed it for a long time.
