Walkthrough Choo-Choo Charles

After watching the introductory video and learning a little more about why our protagonist is so eager to track down the engine possessed by the spirit of the evil clown spider, you will find yourself on the dock with the man who brought us to the island, Eugene. Use this time to familiarize yourself with the controls, including shift sprinting and interacting with NPCs or objects with the mouse.

When you're ready, follow Eugene from the dock to the train station, which can be reached by climbing up the nearby hill. As soon as you get there, you will find out that the depot is locked. You need to find the key, which, according to Eugene, lies in a hut to the east of the current position.

Use the map to find this place. Press the M key. Here is a depot (indicated by the train emblem) and a hut (indicated by a blue circle). To get to the hut, you need to head towards this blue circle.

When you get close to the house, open the door and take the golden key lying in the center of the table. The key will be in your inventory, which can be accessed by pressing the I key. When you're ready, return to Eugene at the depot.

After meeting with Eugene, he will show the locomotive that you will ride throughout the game. A small train serves yourher base, main weapon and means of transportation. After you get to the station, take the train and look around. You will find three important things. The first is a cannon located at the back of the train. Use it and shoot at the targets scattered around the station. This is an automatic weapon that overheats when used for too long, so be sure to keep an eye on it.

There are blueprints on the table. They can be used to upgrade the train with scrap found in the open world. You can boost your speed, armor, and damage up to level 10. In the lower left corner, the health and strength bars of the main character and the train will appear, respectively. Strength is replenished with the same crowbar - 1 crowbar per 10 strength units.

Finally, there are levers at the front of the train. They are used to drive a vehicle. The lever in the center makes the train move forward. The lever on the left makes the train move backward. And the lever on the right stops the train.

After studying all this, talk to Eugene. He will ask you to pull the central lever so that the train moves forward. Do this to break down the gate and get into the open world. In a few seconds you will meet with Charles. He will start chasing the train, which means that you will need to use a weapon and attack him. Aim for the head and shoot the monster.

A few seconds later hevatite and kill Eugene. Keep shooting at Charles and he will eventually retreat. With his departure, the tutorial will end and you will be able to explore the open world. You can approach the dying Eugene.

South mine

As with most missions, the path to and from the mine is dangerous as you will be out in the open. But once you get inside, Charles can't hurt you. This mission can be taken in the southeastern part of the island. When you arrive, talk to the woman in the rocking chair on the porch of the house. She will tell you that the inhabitants of the island believe that Charles can be killed if you deliver three eggs from the mines to a secret temple.

She will then reveal the location of one of the three eggs and give you the key to the mine. The mine is located north of the current position. Head towards the mine. Once you're there, use the key to access the mine.

Before we continue, it's worth discussing what to do when encountering cultists, as this mission will most likely be your first encounter with them. The only way to fight back against the cultists is to use the weapon mounted at the back of the train (or use the train itself as a battering ram), but the shaft has to be explored on your own, so you either rely on stealth or lure the cultists out, return to the train and kill the enemies.

Be sure to use Q and E to go around corners beforerather than moving forward, and stay out of sight for as long as possible. Choo Choo Charles doesn't have a crouch button, so as long as you don't run, you won't make any noise and the cultists won't hear you.

After entering the mine, go forward until you see a passage on the right. Follow it to the very end to find a crowbar. Return to the center path and keep going forward until you see a passage on the left side. Move there to find a box that can be hacked. Inside it you will find green paint . The master key can be obtained from one of the side quests on the way to the southern outskirts of the island.

Return to the path and move forward until you enter a large cave lit by torches. There is a whistling man here - this is your first with a cultist. Keep walking until you reach a tunnel partially covered with wooden planks. Until you pass the boards.

Look through the cracks in these planks to keep an eye on another cultist. Wait for him to pass the boards and turn the corner to the left. If you are standing behind the boards, he will not notice you. This cultist will walk around the square, bypassing you and moving clockwise through the series of tunnels ahead. As soon as he moves away from the boards and turns around the corner, follow him, keeping a safe distance.

After entering the room along the passage on the left, you will see a green egg. It is hard not to notice it, as it glows and stands on a stonepodium. Grab the egg and then keep following the cultist until you reach the wooden planks again. Head past them and then follow the route back to the mine entrance. Once you exit the mine, the mission will end.

Mystery of the North Mine

This main mission starts in the northeast corner of the island. Once you get to the right place, talk to the man at the top of the three-story hut. He will introduce himself as Greg and tell that the eggs found in the mines are Charles's children. He will then give you the key to the mine to the northwest of your current position.

When you're ready, jump on the train and go to the specified location. When you arrive, jump off the train and go to the marker on the map. As you get closer, you will hear a familiar whistle from one of the cultists. He will be patrolling the area right in front of the mine entrance, so wait for him to go to the right and then sneak inside.

Move deeper into the mine and, when possible, turn left into a series of small passages. In this section, you will need to find the lever while dodging the cultist. The cultist will whistle loudly, so use this to recognize the enemy and avoid a collision. He will move around the square, meaning you can follow him without being seen. If you lose sight of it, you can hide in niches.

Once you enter the labyrinth, turn right andMove on until you reach a small area with a lever. Don't pull the lever just yet. Instead, hide behind the wooden wall opposite him. Wait for the cultist to pass by and then follow him around the corner.

He will go down a long corridor. Walk down the long passage and turn right. Inside this room you will find a crowbar and a locked chest that can be opened with a lockpick. Inside the box is a can of blue train paint . Take it and wait at the door when the cultist passes by again. Once the cultist has done this, follow him to a room with a lever. After he turns the corner and exits the room, pull the lever and stand in front of the gate on the left. Go under the gate.

In the room behind the gate you will find a blue egg. Take it and then go through the passage on the right. At the end of this passage is a small room guarded by a cultist. There is a crowbar inside, though it's hardly worth the risk of picking up the item. If you are not interested, go through the tunnel on the right, and when you reach the end, lower the drawbridge using the nearby lever.

After the drawbridge is down, the guard in the maze and the guard in the room we just passed will try to stop you. The easiest way out is to run across the bridge, to the right and back to the train. After you exit the mine, the mission will be completed..

Mine or grave?

This main quest starts in the northwestern part of the island. When you arrive, talk to the person waiting on the porch. He will give you another key to the mine and tell you that the temple, which you need to activate in order to lure Charles, is capable of destroying his eggs. Armed with this knowledge, it's time to claim the Red Egg.

This time you need to go to the mine in the southeast. Open your map so that a marker for this place appears. Get on the train and head to the mine. When you arrive at the place, go through the camp and go up to the mine. Open it with the key and go inside.

Go forward until you reach a room with familiar whistling sounds. A cultist is patrolling in the room ahead. Follow him and hide, then try to get to the other side of the room. As soon as you pass the first cultist, you will find yourself in a room with the second. This cultist will zigzag, making him unpredictable. Like last time, move through the room using cover. Once you've passed the cultist, go through the tunnel at the end of the room and take the elevator down. After leaving the elevator, follow through the tunnels.

There is another cultist here, so you need to stay alert. Go through the first tunnel on the left and forward to find a red egg. When you're ready, keep following?? through the tunnels to the left to find another elevator that you can use to escape the mine and complete the mission.

Demolition Project

This main quest takes place in the northwestern part of the island. When you arrive, go up the hill to the Aranearum Municipal Building and go inside. Take any crowbar you find and go to the balcony on the second floor. There you will meet a man named Paul, the son of Eugene, who will tell you about the plan he developed to destroy Charles.

We are required to place explosives on the pillars of the nearest bridge. Paul intends to blow it up to kill Charles after we combine all the eggs and challenge him to a fight. When you finish the conversation, open the map, and you will see a marker of the right place, pointing to the bridge. It is located northwest of Paul's location.

Go to the bridge and use the steps leading down to the left and right of the bridge. While on these bridges, look for each of the main wooden supports. There are four of them on the left and on the right. When hovering over them, a small indicator of explosives should appear. Click LMB to place explosives on the support.

Once all eight bombs have been placed, return to Paul. He will give you the key to the temple in the center of the island.

final showdown

Make sure to fully upgrade your train as Charles will get angrier and tougher. Complete all side quests, ??about the desire to complete tasks to get new weapons. When you're ready, go to the temple in the center of the map. You don't have to be covert. Just run up the stairs, go inside and interact with the device in the center of the room.

A cut-scene will start, and then you will have to destroy Charles. The battle is divided into several stages, between which there will be short cut-scenes. I recommend using the standard machine gun. Hold LMB for a second, release, repeat so that the weapon does not overheat. Your accurate and periodic headshots on Charles will delay the enemy train, and he will not be able to attack your locomotive. Watch the strength in the lower right corner of the screen. If necessary, move away from the weapon and interact with the drafting table to restore health. After defeating Charles, the game will be over, but a post-credit scene awaits you as well.
