Budmo! in Stalker 2 — the best ending of the quest

The quest Budmo in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will send you to three caches, which contain special loot. According to the task, you need to put vodka there, but is it worth stealing things? The temptation is added by the fact that the contents of these caches are much cooler than the usual caches that you find in the game!

Let's figure out what will happen if you decide to rob the caches in the quest Budmo, and how will the events unfold? After you take the task, its ending will depend on your actions — whether you put vodka in the caches or take their contents.

If you put vodka and do not steal anything

If you put vodka in two caches, Panas will appear at the third. He will say that he is trying to quit drinking and he needs antirads, not vodka, which he used to remove radiation. If you give him antirad, he will pay 1300 coupons and leave the Dump in search of a better life. If you say that vodka will do, Panas will return to his friends at the Slag Heap. Only after that will you receive 1300 coupons. Panas will continue drinking.

If you decide to steal items from the caches

If you clean out two caches, Panas will meet you at the third and attack. You will have to kill him. This applies to all situations, even if you take only one item from one cache.

In the quest Budmo there are markers for three caches in total: near the concrete block, in the Poison Hole, near the power line. They contain excellent equipment that is difficult to obtain early in the game, including several good guns and modifications. Therefore, you can take everything and accept the fact that you will have to kill Panas.

It is important to note that regardless of your choice, Panas will always appear at the last cache. In any case, the last cache will be empty. Therefore, if you decide to rob Panas, you will have to decide in advance which cache you are willing to give up.

Cache by the concrete block (Budmo)

This cache is located under the boards that you need to break. In it you will find:

• RNBW 2X optical sight (suitable for Rhino, Integral-A, Fora-221, Kharod, Mark 1 EMR)
• M10 Gordon submachine gun
• Silencer for a pistol (suitable for PTM, APSB, Buket S-2, Zubr-19)

Cache in the Poison Hole (Budmo)

The cache is in a cave near the Poison Hole anomaly, next to two trees. Be prepared for a flesh attack. Inside you will find:

• Buket S-2 submachine gun
• 20 rounds for the pistol
• Grenade
• Optic gas mask

A cache near the power line (Budmo)

This cache is located on a metal tower. You can get to it by a fallen tree and a board on the power line itself. The cache contains:

• HILKA detector (improved scanner with a long range)
• Artifact "Flash" (weak protection from electricity, weak protection from radiation)
• Artifact "Moonlight" (medium protection from electricity, medium protection from radiation)
