Rose Winters goes in search of a cure that will allow her to get rid of the effects of mutamycete.
At the beginning of the passage of Shadows of Rose, your only task will be to find a cleansing crystal. This crystal is located somewhere in the village, castle and its surroundings, where we traveled in the original game, controlling Ethan Winters. When you gain control of Rose, you will find yourself in the laboratory. Try to explore all rooms and locations to find resources and notes to read. In our guide , we will focus exclusively on the plot .
Exit the lab and follow the corridor. In the end, you will come to the door, behind which stands a stranger. The woman will ask for help. You need to find the key to the cell .
In typical Resident Evil fashion, finding the first story item will be a breeze. Climb down until you reach a small room with books, vases, and a chandelier. On an overturned table, the name "Rose" (ROSE) is written in blood. If you see it, then you are in the right place. If you keep walking around the room?? go through the only available exit, find a nearby shelf with a key to the camera . Take it and return to the closed door. Open the detention chamber to meet your clone. Your only option is to follow the clone wherever she goes.
You will enter a room with a lot of cameras and clones of Rose. The exit is blocked by a locked gate, there is a shield nearby, but there is no handle in it. Look to the left and see the only open doorway. Go through it and duck down to make your way to the right. Eventually, you will reach a small room where you can find the handle for the device.
Take it and go through the door on the left to return to the gate. Upon your return, you will meet the first enemy, referred to in the game as the Face Eater . You cannot attack opponents. Run up to the shield as soon as possible, install the handle and lower it. The gate will slowly open and you have to run around and dodge the Death Eaters. When the gate opens, run through it.
Keep running. Even after you reach a dead end and see the cutscene, keep running. Ultimately, you will end up in Lady Dimitrescu's castle .
Once in the castle, save the game using the writingtypewriter, and go through the only brown door. If you wish, you can turn around and look into Dimitrescu's bedroom to find a note . In the corridor, on the boxes to your right is a first aid kit. Follow the hallway to the main hall and after the cutscene involving the Duke from the original, new Face Eaters will spawn. You need to run down and turn into the passage on the left. Run past the place where the Duke's shop used to be.
Soon you will find yourself at the exit of the castle, but the path will be blocked, and another cut-scene will start. After that, you will receive a pistol , and you will be able to kill enemies. Kill the first Devourer. As usual, it's best to aim for the head. Find ammo nearby. Then return to the corridor from which you just ran and turn left into the main hall.
In the main hall there will be another typewriter , with which you can save progress. There is no way to go upstairs, so go through the brown double doors at the end of the main hall to get to the dining room. The door leading to the courtyard is blocked by a chain.
There are handgun ammo on the dining table. Go through the only open door in this room to get to the kitchen. The Face Eater will appear. Take care of him and find bolt cutters in the closet at the end of the room . Return to the dining room and use the bolt cutters on the chain to rip it off and get into the courtyard. After opening the door, pick up the grass. The expansion uses the same crafting recipes as the original Village to craft items.
After the cutscene, go through the only brown door ahead to enter the lobby. There is gunpowder on the table in front. Take it and go up the stairs. Pick up the reagent and a note that tells you how to craft Handgun Ammo and a First Aid Kit. Go to the library as the other door in this corridor is locked. In the library you will find two Face Eaters and gunpowder. Exit through the waiting room to find another reagent, then keep walking until you are in a back room.
Climb up the stairs on the left to go around the liquid biomass on top. There is only one path here, and you need to knock over a metal ladder to get to the other side. In the end, you will find yourself in the attic, and then - in the workshop. Here you will find a flask with Ru-variant 1 . With it, you can get a bronze mask. Also pick up grass in this room and save with a typewriter .
By obtaining this flask, Rose will gain super strength, allowing her to explode any pink megamycete nuclei scattered around ?to this castle. Remember that the core must be in close proximity. Also, you can only use super strength while standing (the function does not work while squatting). Walk back a little. In the attic, clear two cannonballs (which look like a flower bud) to get handgun ammo and gunpowder.
Go back down. Use your powers on the core in the waiting room and open the case to get an upgrade - a large magazine for the LEMI pistol . After that, go to the library, where you need to kill three Face Eaters. After killing them, collect resources. When you're done in the library, return to the courtyard. Go to the center of the courtyard and clear the core under the statue with the bronze mask. Collect the bronze mask , return to the dining room, talk to your guardian angel, and then go to the main hall.
Next to the typewriter is a statue on which you need to install three masks. Place the first, bronze mask on the leftmost statue. After doing this, clear the core nearby. Climb up and clear the cores blocking your path. At the top of the stairs, you'll find a hand-drawn map showing the location of the One-Eyed Key.
Focusing on the map raised from the floor, you can understand that the one-eyed key is in the fitting room. Go to the entrance to the hall, which leads both to the dressing room, thatto and into the living room (which, if you look at the in-game map, is located at the very bottom). Clear the core to enter the hall and run away from the monster, through the hall into the living room. Crouch and crawl into the fireplace to get into the armory, where there is a flask with Roo variant 2 .
This room also contains handgun ammo and gunpowder. Return to the living room and take a sprig of white sage ; this item must be used to restore Rose's superpower charges (shown in the lower right corner). Exit the living room and turn right to enter the fitting room. There are two Face Eaters here, some handgun ammo, a note, and a one-eyed key .
Return to the courtyard. Optionally, you can visit the room behind the main hall with statues, where the Duke originally sat. There is a case that opens with a one-eyed key. Use the key to get the second upgrade for LEMI (increases damage). In the courtyard, in one of the corners is a door with a red eye. Open it with the one-eyed key and go inside. Climb up, go down the corridor and see three doors. The first and third doors will be locked, and the second leads to the ablution hall.
Do you need to interact in a certain order in the Ablution Hall?? four busts to solve the puzzle and get the second mask. There is a sign at the back of the room with a hint that will give you an idea of what the correct order should be.
If you can't do it yourself, here's the answer:
A passage down will appear. Go down there, go the only route and read the note, which says that the silver mask is somewhere in the back room. You have a company. Instead of acting stealthily, run to the back room as soon as possible to pick up the mask. Clean cores and collect resources along the way. As soon as you get the silver mask , run back again, bypassing all the enemies. If necessary, when a huge monster with a spiked mace appears, lure it a little further from the core and throw a makeshift grenade. It will be temporarily stunned, and you will have time to clear the core and get out of here. Climbing upstairs, exit the ablution hall and go right. The door leading to the guest room will now open. Here you will find a few more resources and you can save on the typewriter .
Exit through another door, turn right, jump over the stone walls and go out onto the terrace to find rusty debris and gunpowder. Fragments of poses?Let you craft shotgun shells and makeshift grenades. Open another door. All doors in the hallway adjacent to the Ablution Hall are now unlocked.
Having done this, create the necessary supplies, then return to the living room. This time, exit through the double door and take the snake painting . Go left and return to the main hall to install the second, silver mask on the right statue. Don't forget to save!
Go upstairs in the main hall and enter the door opposite the stairs. This is a gallery. There are five paintings here and one empty frame, which is perfect for the snake painting you just picked up. Install this picture there. Read the note on the far side of the room. Opposite the predators you need to place their victims.
Butterfly and wolf paintings are fixed and you cannot move them. Let the picture of the snake remain next to the wolf. Opposite the picture of the snake, set the picture of the frog, opposite the butterfly - the spider, opposite the wolf - the sheep. A niche will open in which you will find a three-eyed key .
Return once again to the dining room. Use the three-eyed key to get the M1897 Shotgun . Exit the dining room to ther and go through the door on the left side. In the same room, on the right, there is a door for a three-eyed key. You will enter the Opera Hall. In the Opera Hall there is a bust with the last, golden mask. However, the floor is covered with liquid bioass. You need to go around the room clearing the cores and use the furniture on the floor to get close to the mask. At the same time, Eaters will appear in the room. You need to go upstairs and clear the first core. Then go downstairs and clear the second one by standing on the fallen cabinet. Run upstairs again and clear the last core. Maybe I missed something and the first core was on the bottom! Grab the golden mask and watch the cut-scene.
You will wake up in the detention chamber, and the Duke will propose a bloody game. You need to guess and destroy the correct nuclei, while there will be many fake ones on the walls and ceiling. Luckily, your guardian angel is pointing you in the right direction. The first correct core is below the barrel. There are also left and right directions. Look between them for the lowest core and purify it.
The next core is connected to a broken wall, a shadow. And it's the biggest. Look behind you and you will see a broken wall, and behind it - a huge core. Clear it, but first kill the Devourer that appears.
Finally, the third core is even easier to find. The clues say it's ra?? put at the top. Just look up at the ceiling and find the core right in the center of the ceiling. When the gate is down, collect resources and supplies.
Go to the basement and go upstairs to find yourself in the kitchen. We need to return to the main hall and install the last mask. Watch the video, after which the boss battle will begin.
Run away from the enemy in a circle. If possible, use Rose's Super Power to stun him and shoot him with a cannonball on his chest. First shoot with a shotgun, and then finish off with a pistol. The Death Eaters will then spawn and the boss will respawn. Run through the gate that just fell down. Defeat the boss a second time by shooting the growth on the leg.
Use the same approach as before. In the end, you will be able to go through the fallen gate and get a flask with RO option 3 . Destroy the enemy for the third time. Stun with super strength and shoot at the weak spot on the back. After the victory, watch the cut-scene that ends the first chapter.
When Rose enters the Beneviento house, she appears to be very welcoming. You'll pass a door that requires a Child's Relief to open, and when you enter the door at the end of the room, you'll see a Purifying Crystal on a table. It's fake, of course. Your weapons and sleep?The feeling will now be taken away from you a long time ago, and on the table instead of it there will be a monkey doll with seams in the center. In the meantime, go to the Medical Room.
In the next room, exit through the door and follow the corridor. Go through the gap between the walls and read the back of the baby photo for a clue. “A stocked locker, an image of a bookshelf, a table littered with things.”
This is a solution for a locked cabinet inside an office. To get the combination, look inside the locker to see 02 on the back. The photo frame on the bookshelf has 44 in the back. 66 is written on the floor under the table.
The lock code for the cabinet is 024466.
You will get scissors here. Go back to the monkey doll and undo the seams to find the Baby Relief, which will allow you to open the previously locked door. But the place of the monkey will be taken by a new puzzle, a little more difficult.
Look at the table to your left for a rough explanation of the puzzle and a doll. Grab the doll and you can now head to the Child Help door to get inside. Inside you will find the second puppet puzzle. For now, just grab a doll from the table that you can pick up and you can return to the Medical Room.
There is another puppet puzzle in the Medical Room with only two pedestals. The pedestals are named, so place the Katherine and Lucy dolls. Is it easy??, as Lucy has her name written on it. The other doll is Katherine. Once you place them, a drawer will open and give you the key to Jimmy's room. Grab the dolls and head to Jimmy's Room, which is across the long passage from the Workshop.
This short dungeon is meant to be intimidating. Focus on the mold core to destroy it and then head down the stairs. Below you will find the third doll and you can leave immediately. The name of the room suggests that this is Jimmy.
Return to the Child Relief room as you now have three dolls. The names are crossed out, so you have to guess which ones to place thanks to the props next to them. Place Jimmy holding the gift and place Lucy on the ladder holding the rod. Catherine can take an empty seat. This will open the crate, rewarding you with the fourth and final doll. Don't forget to collect them all and then head to the Workshop.
In the workshop doll puzzle, there are four spaces to fill, and only Lucy's position is named. You can guess, again, by the poses. Place Jimmy holding firewood, Katherine holding a stick, and the last doll can go to the empty spot. Here we see the dolls burning another doll, revealing the key to the breaker.
We are nearing the end of puzzles now. From the workshop, go to where you first entered to ??use the key from the breaker on the breaker. It can be found in the bedroom, study and kitchen. These places will also be added to your main map. Here you will meet mother mannequins. It's like the Boos from Super Mario, and as long as you look at them, they will stop moving. If you look away, they will start moving again. Their footsteps are loud and they will chase you. Be sure to run into them as you move through the rooms to stay one step ahead. Here you can go through the kitchen and face the mannequin stalker by focusing on the core of the form. Then make a circle and go to the bedroom to get the fuse in the corner. The mannequin will open the door, but again, as long as you face them, they won't be able to reach you. The perfect time for a second to appear.
Sometimes dummies will block your path and you will need to turn away to get them to move in order for you to pass. It's scary, but as long as you're fast, it's safe. You will need to do this once you get to the office. Finally, placeHit the fuse and use the elevator. To not work, of course.
Another challenge. This time you have shrunk to the size of a doll and they will hunt you. You will see them and their deadly weapons running further into the house that you must explore. The puppets do follow very predictable paths, and as long as you don't get too close from behind, they won't notice you as long as you're out of their line of sight, which is usefully lit like a torch.
If you get caught and injured, Rose will move slowly, at which point you must find a safe area and wait until your injury is gone and you can move normally again. For starters, you'll just walk past the dolls while staying out of their line of sight, and shortly after, you'll break mold cores to cause them to drop objects from the ceiling, which will draw the attention of nearby dolls. If a stealth section seems impossible, there is probably a core to break instead.
Once you find a white sage twig, this indicates that you will need to use your Focus powers to stun the puppets before walking past them. The goal is to get to the bedroom, and as long as you're patient and take your time while in cover, you should be able to do it relatively easily.
As soon as you leave the bedroom, a short chase will begin in which you willmother of the mold core, running along the linear aisle. Eventually, your helpful buddy Michael finds you and saves you from a mannequin that is after you.
This is a short and simple moment where you, as Rose, return to Winters' house, which you may remember from the very beginning of Resident Evil Village. Rose can explore the house and enjoy some of her father's memories.
Upstairs, you can find the key to the drawer on the back of the photo frame in Ethan's office. Open the drawer here to find a letter for Rose from her father. Afterwards, Evelyn will drag Rose back to Beneviento House.
The house of Beneviento is falling apart due to mutamycete. Run down the linear corridor - once you're in the Workshop, you'll probably be attacked twice by the puppets while crawling slowly. You will almost certainly get caught if you are limping, so when you exit the Workshop just wait in place until you recover and can run again.
Break the form rods while running away from the attackers and make your way to the elevator. Evelyn will confront you, but you are ready to fight her now. Take the elevator to the top, grab the fourth RW-Variant Flask to boost your powers, and get ready to fight. You still don't have a weapon, so you should focus on using your abilities and dodging attacks.
In the room where you fight?? Evelyn, there are a few tables and pieces of furniture you can hide behind. You have to hide behind anything while Evelyn charges up, and once she unleashes a flurry of attacks, she will calm down for a moment and this is your opportunity to focus on her. You will need to successfully use your focus attack on her three times before Michael helps in the final blow after climbing the stairs.
Once Evelyn is defeated, you will be forcibly expelled from the House of Beneviento and find yourself in an even deeper layer.
