The Devil in Me is the fourth installment in The Dark Pictures Anthology by Supermassive Games. As with previous games, you'll probably focus on trying to keep everyone alive by the end of the story. This will earn you the Happy Ending trophy/achievement. But with all the decisions and plot twists you'll encounter in the game, this task is not an easy one. So, we've compiled everything you need to know to complete The Devil in Me while keeping all the characters alive. Please note that there will be spoilers below!
If you've played Dark Pictures horror games before, you know that Quick Time Events (or QTEs) play a key role in keeping the characters alive. There are four standard varieties to be aware of, as well as a few new ones to look out for.
Standard QTEs:
Note . There are many moments in the game in which the heartbeat is used. A very important mini-game.
New QTEs:

All of these QTEs appear in the prologue and early missions, and you can practice them with minimal impact on the story. If you complete all the QTEs in the game, the chance of anyone in your group dying will drastically decrease. Therefore, they are extremely important. Alternatively, if you find them too difficult, you can reduce the difficulty level at the beginning of the game or toggle some of the QTE options in the accessibility settings.
Your first step towards saving the lives of everyone in The Devil in Me is available in the For?"menie". After having to explore the hotel in the dark with her microphone, Erin finds herself locked in a room. Panicking, she finds herself face to face with a figure who will offer her an inhaler. Choose the inhaler instead of attacking. Attacking the piece will not end well for Erin.
Once Erin has an inhaler as an inventory item, be sure to grab it for moments when she feels short of breath or has trouble breathing. This will save the girl.
After Erin finishes exploring the Silver Ash Institute, she will hear Jamie's voice from the mannequin. She will tell her that the girl is in danger and needs to hide in the closet. You need to listen to her and hide in the closet. If you choose the Run option instead, Erin will die.
Once Charlie is trapped in the incinerator, he will have two options: break open the door or raise the sieveku. You need to choose a grid. He will not be able to pick it up, and you will again be offered a choice. Select the grate a second time and eventually he will pull it out and run away.
When you have to choose between Kate and Erin, who are trapped in a room with little oxygen, choose to kill Kate and thus save Erin. As Kate struggles for air, she will notice a leak in the window and Mark will break the glass and save Kate. If you choose to kill Erin, she will indeed die.
Once you're in the principal's office and come up with a plan to capture Du'Meth, Kate can either keep the screwdriver or give it to Jamie. It doesn't matter who you give it to. Most importantly, remember who has it. And if you want to improve the relationship between Kate and Jamie, give the screwdriver to Jamie.

After a failed plan to capture Du'Meth, Kate and Jamie find themselves in a room with a moving glass wall. She will start moving towards Jamie. Assuming you gave Jamie a screwdriver, when prompted to select an option in the dialogue, point to the Defiant option and Jamie will say that he won't press the button.
Then you will need to aim and press the appropriate button / key. Aim away from the button or just wait for the timer to expire. Jamie won't press the button and the wall will move to crush her. The screwdriver Kate gave her will save Jamie's life.
Alternatively, if the screwdriver is in Kate's possession, make sure Jamie has pressed the button and the opposite will happen and the screwdriver will save Kate's life.
After Keith performs a few QTEs to break out of Du'Meth's clutches, you'll find that he somehow grabbed Jamie on the rooftop instead. Kate can run or help Jamie. You must help her or Jamie will die at the hands of Du'Meth.

When you enter the barn with Erin, Jamie, and Kate (the one with the ax outside), there are a couple of important decisions to make. You can barricade the door, but it won't last long. Erin will offer to run and you are given the choice between running or climbing. You need to escape with Erin or she will die. So make sure you choose "Run" and all three will survive.
When Erin investigates the Silver Ash Institute, she will find a cassette player behind the moving shutters. A message from the player indicates that Charlie is allegedly involved in the murder of the group.
Later in the story at the Lighthouse, when Erin confronts Charlie while playing as Mark, be sure to side with Charlie and give him the benefit of the doubt or trouble will ensue.

The culmination of the story and your quest to save everyone in The Devil in Me is a boat battle. The easiest way to save everyone is to be prepared to successfully complete all QTEs. To survive Erin and Charlie, press the right buttons.
Jamie can jump off the boat and she will survive too. She can also stop and fight, but that won't change anything. Keith can attack Du'Meth or just jump off. After the jump, Mark can survive, but it will hurt their relationship.
Mark will then need to succeed in a QTE to injure and subdue Du'Meth before finally killing him. Then, finally, in order for Mark to escape, you need to press the correct buttons one last time to jump off the boat before it hits the rocks and explodes.
