Walkthrough Room 404

After the intro video, go forward and dodge sharply to the left using the direction keys - W, S, A, D.



After going around the tree, open the door to the building. To do this, you need to go to the door and stand so that the inscription INTERACT appears. Click the left mouse button, after which the character will enter the inside of the building.

Act 1. Entering Room 404

Alex believes that his wife is overwhelmed by the event and is probably in room 404, where she thinks she can find Cody. Alex must get to room 404.

Goals:

  • Restore nutrition.
  • Find room 404.


In order to open the mission briefing and find out the tasks of a particular chapter, press the M key. The same key closes the hint window.

Restore nutrition

Once inside the building, go behind the reception desk in front. On the right wall hangs a junction box with sparkling wires. Take the lever from this box, which is located in the left corner, next to the counter, on the cabinet. Approach the box and click on it to set the lever and restore power.

Find room 404

A passage will open to the right. Move there. Naturally, room 404 will be at the very end of the corridor. Absolutely all doors are closed, except for the entrance through which you got to the hotel. Examine the door of room 404 and try to open it. Take a few steps backwards to update the mission objectives.



New goals:

  • Search other rooms.
  • Find the key to the utility room (warehouse).
  • Find the key to the entertainment room (game room).
  • Enter the game room (entertainment room).

Go back down the corridor, try to open the doors of rooms 403 and 402. Everything will be closed. When you approach the hall, you will see the door of the restroom open. Go there and look in the locker on the wall on the right. Inside you will find the key. Take the key from the utility room .



Find the key to the entertainment room (game room)

Enter the back room and open one of the vertical lockers. Inside you will find the key to the game room . You may need to inspect all three lockers.

Go to the game room. The door to it is located on the other side of the corridor from the reception desk. Inside the room, move to the very end, where two paintings (or two monitors?) hang on the wall. On the left side of the paintings there is a pedestal and an electronic terminal with numbers.

  • Find the code that opens the cabinet.
  • Enter room 404.

So, you need to pick up the code. Without thinking twice, enter the numbers 4-0-4 and press the TEST button. You will hear a characteristic sound, and the cabinet will open. Take out the key to room 404 from the cabinet .

Go back along the corridor until you see that you have reached a dead end. The picture will become dark.

Act 2. First illusion (First illusion)

Trapped in yet another illusion, Alex must overcome his fears and remember the moments he shared with his family.

Search the corridors

Go forward and you will find yourself at a fork. The corridor ahead leads to a closed grate. You must learn the directions left and right. Choose any of them and go until the screen flashes. So you can walk long and tedious, in a circle. But you just have to wait for the first flashing of the screen, then turn around and again be at the same fork. Check another direction. The same thing will happen. After flashing, return to the fork and you will see that where the grate used to be, it is no longer there. Follow the path until you reach the door.

Open the door and go up the stairs. Naturally, the four doors on the left and right will be closed. Open the door ahead, at the end of the corridor. There will be another door in the room, but you won't be able to open it.

Return to the corridor and find that you can now open these four doors.

  • Activate the first lever.
  • Activate the second lever.
  • Activate the third lever.
  • Activate the fourth lever.

Just go around all the rooms and switch four identical levers. Return to the room with the locked door. After the appearance of smoke, the door can be opened. Go further until you find yourself in a large basement with water. There is a door on the opposite wall. On the left side of it there is a cabinet with an electronic panel. You need to enter a three-digit code, but which one?

On the right side there are two doorways leading to two rooms. There you need to find safes with a yellow door. When you open the safes, you will see two numbers - 6 and 4. In the middle of the flooded basement, you can find a vertical locker. Inside the cabinet there is another number - 7.

After that, return to the door and enter the code. You need to guess the correct sequence of numbers, which is done by trial and error. In my case, the correct combination to open the door is 467.

PS A dead girl walks in the basement. It is not recommended to deal with her. It's easy enough to spot if you're careful. You move faster than her, she will not run. And I also want to note that the numbers and the code combination may be different each time.

Go further and open another door. At the end of the corridor there will be another locked door.

Get the colors right

If you were attentive, you might have noticed a picture with yellow and red toy cubes in the corridor. You need to remember the sequence in which these cubes are placed. After that, return to the locked door and on the left wall you will see six identical paintings. Under each picture there is a button. By pressing the button, you change the color of the picture. In my case, the sequence was: yellow, yellow, red, yellow, red, yellow. If the combination is correct, the door will automatically open.

Go forward through the corridors until you find yourself at the door of room 404. Wait until they try to scare you again.

Act 3. Room 404 (Room 404)

After examining the room, go to the reception. From here, move to the game room and look at the pictures hanging on the wall where you entered the code combination. One of the paintings shows an open black grille and candles. Please note that this grate is in the game room. There are four candles nearby. You must extinguish them as shown in the picture hanging on the wall. In my case, the extreme right and extreme left candles should be extinguished.

By doing this correctly, you will open the grate. Climb down and move along the tunnel to the right. Go to the door near the stairs and pick up the key lying next to the skeleton.

Return to the reception and open the door located here. Get to the basement with the generator and inspect it. To activate the generator, you need to find two missing fuses. On the wall to the right hangs a stand with the keys to rooms 402 and 403 . Take them away.

Go back upstairs and inspect both rooms, inside of which you will find one fuse. With the fuses, return to the generator and click on it a few times to install the missing components and start powering the elevator. Climb up and enter the elevator. Wait for the chapter to end.

Act 4. The Family Farm (parent farm)

Alex again fell into the illusion. This time he was in a place that resembles a forest near his parent's farm. This is where Alex's son, Cody, was buried.

Go through the swamp. See a burning tree in the distance? You need it right for him. To the right of the tree is a house. You will not be able to get into it, because the path is blocked by a fence. Stand with your back to the house, so that the tree is on the left side, and move along the fence. Eventually, you will find another hut. Go inside it and go through two more doors to go outside to the other side.

The task indicates that you must go into the forest and run away from the ghost. I never met the ghost. And he went as follows: go along the path available here, which will be short. Without turning anywhere, head towards the Christmas trees. But there will be a fence. Now along the fence, go left, turn left, following the fence. Eventually, you will see a bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the path until you reach a large mansion. Approach the door and interact with it. You will see the inserted key, which is surrounded by four additional keyholes. We need to find four more keys!

Go down the stairs and go right. There is an open garage here. Take the first key from the shelf. Stand with your back to the garage and you will see two torches. Follow between them, go down to the hut by the water. Go inside and see the second door. On the left side of it there is an electronic panel with numbers. You need to enter a three-digit code. Open the red box on the right wall and see the first number - 6. Go outside and on the side of the house, closer to the water, on the cobblestones, find two more numbers - 6 and 4. Enter the code 664 and the door will open. Take the second key .

Return to the house and immediately go left. The path will be long, but in the end you will find yourself inside the cave, where you will find the third key . Finally, go back to the mansion, go past the front door and turn left. See two torches? Walk between them, climb the slope and see the family crypt. Go inside and at the end you will see four candles. Extinguish the two side candles so that only the two candles in the middle burn. A niche will open from which you can get the last key . Go back to the mansion and click on the door to insert the key and get inside.
