Wasteland 3 is a classic post-apocalyptic RPG. And the word "classic" means the presence of many additional quests, side activities and, most importantly, secrets. In this guide, we have prepared five of the most obscure secrets in the game.

Cyborg chickens

So, the first cyborg chicken is in the paddock on the side of the ranger headquarters. And five more chickens will have to be brought here. All of them are located in the center of Colorado Springs:

1. Garden of the gods. North of the mass grave. To get it, you need the skill "Animal Trainer 4".
2. Sans Lux. Behind a locked door that can be opened by repairing the generator. Requires "Work with mechanics 5" to repair. Chicken Trainer 3 is required to tame a chicken.
3. Broadmoor-X??yts. The chicken is in the church on the right, in the same place as Gideon Reyes. It is hidden in a locked room at the beginning of the church. There is a button on the wall opposite this room that allows you to unlock the door. Requires Trainer 4.
4. In the Patriarch's bunker under Broadmoor Heights, where you will get on the mission "Field Commanders". In the second room of a small office on the second floor. To get there, you need a character with the Sneak 6 skill. And to tame a chicken, you need the skill "Animal Trainer 5".

Each of these chickens must be escorted to their pen at Ranger HQ. The corral is outside, on the right side of the base. There will already be one chicken! As soon as all five chickens are inside the pen, they will begin to communicate with you in a completely different way.

After the showdown with Valorie and Vic, your base will be attacked by the Scar Collectors. In this fight, the cyborg chickens will unite, turning into Paultron . After that, he will accompany you like any other AI.

Vice-Rector

Fans of the series will remember Vice Chancellor from the first two Wasteland games. In Wasteland 2, he was able to join the rangers as a regular companion, commenting on various situations in Latin. The only role of the Provost in the second part was to open the safe, which contained the Eye of Foresight. In Wasteland 3the role of the Provost is ambiguous and confusing, but we still found a secret associated with this character.

The vice-rector is imprisoned in a room in the tunnels of the Dikovinarium. This is behind one of the three icy doors literally at the beginning of the location. To get to it, you have to break open the door, which requires "Picking locks of the seventh level." An alternative option is to explore all the tunnels and find the key.

When you get to the Vice-Rector, when interacting with him, you will understand that he communicates exclusively in Latin. He will also sit on the tail of your group and will help in combat, like any AI companion.

But this is not his entire role. You need to escort the Provost to the Inn of the Snow, where you are on the side quest "Justice in the Wilds" while chasing Nelia Dorsey. Then go right and open the toaster located inside the building. For its repair, you will receive a Minerva Owl token. When the Vice-Rector sees this token, another dialogue will begin, again in Latin.

Then you can visit the far northwestern point on the global map, where the secret location "Heart of the Mountain" is located (immediately remembers for some reason??i Horizon Zero Dawn ). Here the character will tell you that he is part of the Illuminati of Provosts. You'll even get a unique skill and achievement! Satoshi's Mysterious Safe

During the passage of Wasteland 3, you will visit several secondary locations. One of these places is the Suns Lux apartment, which will become available after a while, when Rosie Wong asks you to deal with a strange noise in Irv's room. Head to the apartment from downtown Colorado Springs and enter the room on the left. Here you will meet a stranger in a hood. His name is Satoshi, and he will give you a mysterious case to keep. Do not open it under any circumstances! Yes, you will get some details, but there is something more valuable.

Just forget about it and go through the game. And only after you deal with Liberty and try to return to the beginning of the Yuma District, you will meet Satoshi again. What happens next is entirely up to you:

• If you are allclosed the case, then Satoshi will be upset. Up to the point that you have to fight him and his robots.

golden toaster

The Golden Toaster is one of the most powerful AI companions you can get in the game. In addition, assembling it will allow you to discover a secret location and one of the most magnificent armor sets. First you need to fix the toasters, inside of which are hidden gold parts:

1. In the building on the left as you enter Broadmoor Heights. This is the Wesson estate.
2. In Hoon Manor, on the global map to the right of Colorado Springs.
3. Complete the "Missing in Action" quest, which you will learn about from Betsy at the Ranger Headquarters. The woman will appear there after a while. Once in a location with a cave, look for a toaster behind it.
4. This toaster is located at the Bison Farm, which you will learn about when you are near the location (in the lower region of the map) and receive an SOS signal.
5. After that, it remains to repair the toaster in Aspen. In a hospitable house, where there is a terminal that lowers the bridge at the beginning of the level.

As soon as you collect sun?? five parts, your characters will automatically create a golden toaster. The Toaster Repair Academy location will appear on the map. Head there to activate the AI Companion. Be sure to inspect the boxes on the side, because one of them contains the alien " Verminchitin Armor ".

ancient love letter

Against the background of other secrets, this one is not so bright, but I still decided to tell about it. So, remember how at the very beginning of the game you were approached by the Kasidi couple. A man and a woman asked to free their store from the Dorsey robbers. So, it is in this store near the market square in the center of Colorado Springs that there is a safe with an ancient love letter. Hack it and read the letter. Only after that, go to the Patriarch's palace in Broadmoor Heights and look for a bench in the park near the stairs on the left side. Under the bench, your characters will find Camila's key. It remains to go to the tree at the far east corner, click on it to find the chest that opens with this key. Inside will be $200 and a bear skin .
