1. It is strongly recommended to time the trip in such a way that you arrive at the right place before the waking time ends and the driver wants to sleep. Do this if you are not on time. This fact will allow you to study the list of goods and offers before going to bed, after which it will be updated. Only if you saw something before going to bed, be sure to go to the indicated place and pick up the cargo, and after that go to bed.
2. There is no need to rest before crossings - there is nothing left to do on the ferry anyway, except sleep. So you lose double the time. Ferry Felixstowe - Calais is the shortest (about one and a half hours for the crossing). The train ride takes about half an hour. You will get this time in addition to your waking hours.
3. Another legal trick - if you are in search of a new cargo, then be sure to save before going to bed. After sleep each time a new list appears. If you cannot find a good and high-paying cargo, then reboot and rest again to see a completely different list of offers in front of you??uy. You can sleep 2-3 times in a row until a notification appears that the driver does not want to sleep, and it's time to get to work.
4. Save as often as possible. The best time for this is before entering and leaving cities, at crossings, turns, before a long and protracted route, on hills (in order to quickly gain maximum speed). The fact is that no matter how good a driver you are, you never know when an accident will happen on the roads. Sometimes it simply crashes out of the game, and when using third-party maps and modifications, it can crash in the same place. Create about three to five permanent save slots and overwrite them one by one. If the last save gets corrupted, you can reload the penultimate one, and so on.
5. Another legit cheat. If you see that a collision is imminent, press pause, save and reload the game. The road will be free.
6. Keep track of the time that is allocated for the delivery of goods - the F6 key. This is necessary so that it does not turn out that after sleep there is no more than two hours left for the road, although it is necessary to travel the distance for all ten. Sleep lasts nine hours, and the driver's wake time is 11. But that's not all. As soon as the wake time drops to zero, you will be given another two to three hours in addition to the total time before the driver “falls through” into the world ofX. The screen will go blank and you will lose control. In total, you will have 13.5 hours of wakefulness. As soon as you hear how your driver yawns, then press F1 and F6, add another two and a half hours to the remaining time and find out how long you can drive without failure. But that won't save you a $150 fine.
7. If sleep catches you on the road, then either restart the game in the place where there was a nearby place to sleep, or count 60 seconds between dark screens, then stop and wait for driver failures. This way you can stretch to the nearest motel. Remember that during a short-term sleep (dip) you can not drive a car. If you were turning, the truck will continue to turn, driving into the oncoming lane, into a forest or a bump stop, if you were accelerating, then continue to increase speed, so it is best to wait out such moments. Ideally, mentally count the thousandths without stopping - “a thousand and one, a thousand and two, and so on up to“ a thousand and sixty ”, then stop and wait.
8. The higher the movement speed, the faster the time to the target is reduced. If you are late, then remove the limiter and change lanes to the left, but do not forget about the fuel level. Time on the territory of cities and gas stations flows slowly - this is a proven fact. Time for delivery of a particular cargoand is calculated on the basis of an average travel speed of 60 km/h. If you drive at a speed of 150 km / h, then in 13 hours you will be able to deliver the goods, the transportation of which was originally given 20 hours. This will require a more powerful truck and disabling the speed limit. For example, on a Volvo with a 6x4 chassis and an engine with a capacity of 750 “horses”, you can get from Rotterdam to Budapest in a day, and this is not the limit.
9. Don't forget that the drivers in single player mode are AI controlled, meaning you won't even meet them on the road. The profits and expenses of each hire are calculated simply by the time the trip expires. You will see messages after one of the mercenaries delivers the goods to the destination - a notification with a profit will appear if a save is loaded before that. If each time you reload before the direct delivery of the order, the driver will bring cargo for a different amount. Use this fact while you sleep. Save in front of him and sleep. Then reboot and sleep again until you see the amount of profit acceptable to you. So you can pick up the most valuable cargo that was delivered by your drivers.
