The creators of Alan Wake and Control are working on the single Crossfire X

The multiplayer shooter is popular in China, but now it's heading to conquer the Western market

Instead of a new part of Call of Duty or Battlefield, during the Xbox presentation, it was announced that Remedy would be creating a single-player story campaign for Crossfire X. You can see the official trailer below.

Crossfire is one of the most popular free-to-play shooters, occupying the first lines of the Asian charts. However, its online version failed to attract much attention from the Western audience. Therefore, the developers decided to involve Remedy, which should create a single mode and thereby stir up interest in the game in the West. A full-fledged campaign is still a more convenient entry point into multiplayer.

In the trailer, you can see the characters from the Black List faction. In addition to it, another faction of mercenaries will appear in the story campaign. They are also available online. During Operation Ghost, you will travel to Asia and South America, and a Premium account will be used to access the story mode. The release will take place thisth year, but only on Xbox One and Series X.
