Team shooter Tannenberg, the sequel to Verdun, came to consoles with a new map
Tannenberg gives players the chance to play as an infantry soldier on the Eastern Front of World War I, where the Russian Empire clashes with German might. Authentic weapons, uniforms and battlefields will let you immerse yourself in the maneuvers on the Eastern Front, which contrast sharply with the brutal nature of the fighting on the Western Front depicted in Verdun. Tannenberg for consoles will add a new map dedicated to the battles around the fortifications of the city of Przemysl (Przemyśl). For PC players, don't worry, the new map is coming to Steam on July 24th as well!
The new map can be seen in the trailer:

Tannenberg is set on the Eastern Front of the First World War, where players will participate in large-scale military maneuvers near the borders of Russia. The Germans, along with the Quadruple Alliance, faced the forces of the Entente, led by Russia. Despite the great importanceDespite the Eastern Front and the millions of people involved in the fighting, it can sometimes be overshadowed by the Western Front (which we depicted in our first Verdun game). Tannenberg gives players the opportunity to immerse themselves in a vital part of World War I that they may not be familiar with.
Players can participate in 40-man battles, the goal of which is to capture key sectors and reduce the enemy's victory points. Choose your squad, equipment and fight to control the battlefield. Use artillery, gas, heavy machine guns and other weapons to win! Each country in Tannenberg has its own authentic weapons, equipment and uniforms appropriate to that time. We've also made a serious effort to include some of the most overlooked combatants on the Eastern Front, from Romania and Latvia to Austria-Hungary and Bulgaria.
Our gaming community supported us in the release of the console version, and as a thank you for your patience, we tried to add a new map for the upcoming release - the Austro-Hungarian fortress of Przemysl.
Przemysl fortress (fortifications near the city of Przemysl) was the place of the longest?th siege in the First World War, as a result of which the Austro-Hungarian besieged surrendered to the Russians. The powerful fortifications make this battlefield very different from the more open areas seen on many Tannenberg maps. The battle for the East is fought over vast areas, from wide forests and burnt villages to Romanian mountain ranges, Latvian swamps and an Austro-Hungarian fortress.
Controls, graphics and performance have been optimized for consoles to provide a seamless multiplayer experience. Maneuver mode can be played by 40 players with up to 20 bots. Tannenberg also runs great on the PlayStation 4 Pro, meets Xbox One X Enhanced standards and takes full advantage of advanced consoles.
M2H developer and co-founder Mike Hergaarden said, “Having received feedback from the gaming community following the initial release of Verdun on consoles, we have decided to overhaul all versions of our games on consoles – this started with the recent remaster of Verdun. This gave us valuable experience in optimizing the user interface, graphics and controls for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and we received a lot of positive feedback from players. For the console version of Tannenberg, we kind of re-created it from the beginning."
