Gaijin Entertainment has announced a new exclusive event for online action game War Thunder .
It got the name “ Tank Biathlon ” and was developed on the basis of the competition of the same name at the annual International Army Games . Thanks to this, military equipment enthusiasts from all over the world will be able not only to follow the success of their favorite teams on TV broadcasts, but also repeat their achievements in person. “Tank Biathlon” in War Thunder will be available to everyone during the VI International Army Games “ARMI-2020” from August 23 to September 5, 2020.
Eight countries are represented in Tank Biathlon in War Thunder: China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Serbia. As in the original competition, China competes on its own production vehicles - ZTZ96A, and the rest of the countries use Russian tanks - T-72B3 or T-80U. Four participants enter the track, who go through an obstacle course and hit a series of targets, trying to reach the finish line first. Appearance and characteristics of equipment -as is customary in War Thunder - they correspond to the originals as much as possible.
“When working on new content for War Thunder, we are focusing on what is interesting for fans of military equipment. Of course, we could not miss such an important event as tank biathlon,” explains Anton Yudintsev, co-founder of Gaijin Entertainment.
The “Tank Biathlon” event will be available for free to the entire multi-million audience of War Thunder, and all the necessary vehicles are provided to players automatically – even if they have not yet researched it in the tech tree. If a fan of Tank Biathlon is not yet registered in War Thunder, he can do so and download the game for free on the official website.
A detailed description of the events in War Thunder dedicated to Army Games 2020 can be found on the official War Thunder website on the day of their launch.
