Tank and naval biathlon started in War Thunder

This was announced by the publisher of the military online action game Gaijin Entertainment.

These are two completely different but interconnected events timed to coincide with the annual International Army Games. In addition to the previously announced “Tank Biathlon”, this is also the “Naval Biathlon” - a competition for crews of combat boats, inspired by the Army Games “Battleship”.

In both modes, four crews enter the track and strive to be the first to reach the finish line. In "Tank Biathlon" players go through an obstacle course - an overpass, a snake, a water barrier - and hit targets with the main gun and machine gun both at a static line and when shooting from the move. Before the start, you can choose either T-72B3 or T-80U and the camouflage of one of the countries participating in the real “Tank Biathlon” (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Serbia), or ZTZ96A, which is already painted in the colors of China. In the “Naval Biathlon”, players participate on boats Pr.206 “Shershen” and use the main gun and torpedoes. At the same time, each target destroyed by the boat allows you to activate a short-term afterburner.

For each victory in the biathlon, players receive vouchers for the exchange of camouflage - tank or ship. Tank biathlon camouflages (red, blue, green and yellow) can be obtained for the following models: T-72B3, T-80U, M1A2 Abrams, Leopard 2A5, Challenger 2 (2F), Type 90 (B), ZTZ96A, Ariete PSO, Leclerc and Strv 122. Naval Biathlon rewards include themed camouflages for the following ships: Asheville (PGM-84), TS-Boot Proj. 206, BTK pr. 206, Fairmile D (697), Chikugo, Saetta P-494.
