Wasteland 3 - Who is the Provost and what does he do?

Fans of the series remember the Vice-Chancellor from the first two parts of the game. We tell what role this character plays in the third part.

In Wasteland 2, he could join the rangers, also commenting on various situations in Latin phrases. The only role of the Provost in the second part was to open the safe, which contained the Eye of Foresight. In Wasteland 3, the role of the Provost is ambiguous and confusing, but let's figure it out together.

The vice-rector is imprisoned in a room in the tunnels of the Dikovinarium. This is behind one of the three icy doors literally at the beginning of the location. To get to it, you have to break open the door, which requires "Picking Locks 7". An alternative option is to explore all the tunnels and find the key.

When you get to the Vice-Rector, when interacting with him you will hear Latin phrases. He will also sit on the tail of your group and will help in combat like any other AI companion.

But this is not his entire role. According to vizendel from Reddit, you need to escort the Vice-Rector to the Snezhnaya Hotel,where you complete the side quest "Justice in the Wildlands" while chasing Nelia Dorsey. Then go right and open the toaster located inside the building. For its repair, you will receive a Minerva Owl token. When he sees this token, another dialogue will begin, again in Latin.

Then visit the far northwest point on the global map, the Heart of the Mountain. Here the character will tell you that he is part of the Illuminati of Provosts. You'll even get an achievement! Perhaps there are even more secrets hidden in the game related to Vice-Rectors and his brotherhood.
