A detailed guide to the three existing maps in Among Us: The Skeld, Polus and MIRA HQ
Being well versed in the game maps of Amon Us is the key to successful completion of tasks, or masterful sabotage. If you are playing as an impostor, you need to know the location of certain objects on the map in order to behave naturally and not give yourself away.
All maps consist of several large and small rooms. Each room has its own name and purpose, and all rooms are connected by narrow corridors. The most important room on any map is the administration room, where you can watch the movement of all crew members in real time. In addition to this room, you can also find a security room that has monitors for monitoring cameras. It can take quite a lot of time to figure out all the details, pros and cons of each card on your own. To save you time, we have prepared this guide.

The Skeld
A spaceship map called " The Skeld " was the only map available after the game's launch. Everything in her14 rooms and many corridors: two large rooms, six smaller ones on the east and west sides.
Below are the key points to keep in mind:
Map Structure : Thanks to the layout of the rooms, the map is easy to navigate. You should remember two horizontal passages in the upper and lower parts of the map, as well as three corridors in the western and eastern parts of the location.
Ventilation System : There are a total of 5 ventilation hatches on the map through which the traitor can move. It should be understood that the impostor can only move along the two nearest ventilation shafts.
Visual Quests : These quests reveal if the player is a traitor. If you scan yourself in the medical bay, then all the players watching this will know that you are not a traitor.
Sabotage Locations : Four sabotage locations are evenly distributed across the map. They are in the Reactor , Electricity , Communications and O2room . Remember that the traitor can only lock the doors of rooms on the left side (except for the room with the reactor) and in the center??e cards. Using this function, it is quite easy to control the movement of crew members.
Security system : thanks to the surveillance system, any player can observe the movement of crew members along four corridors. Whatever you play, you must remember that some corridors do not have a surveillance system ( two lower ones and a very short corridor in the upper right ). You should also know which rooms are dead ends. If you are playing as a traitor, and you enter, for example, the medical bay, you must exit it the same way you came in. Using the ventilation in the medical bay, you will immediately impersonate the player who is currently watching the cameras in the security room.
The most dangerous zone : such a zone is the electricity room. There is no walk-through in this room, and there is no surveillance camera here either. If a traitor killed you, then he will hide in the ventilation without any problems, and it will be impossible to calculate him.
MIRA HQ
This is the smallest map at the moment, which has 12 small rooms withoutclear layout structure. The key things to look out for are the ventilation system, as well as the absence of a security room and video recording cameras.
Map Structure : The layout of rooms in the MIRA HQ location is very complex. Some rooms are located very close to each other, while others stand on the outskirts and are isolated from the rest of the premises. Due to the small size of the map, crew members will have a big advantage if they work together on missions.
Ventilation system : Compared to the first map, the conditions for the traitor are better here. As many as 11 ventilation shafts, which are evenly scattered across the map. Only in the area of communications are the least such hatches. The big difference from other game maps is that all ventilation shafts are connected into one system.
Sabotage Locations : Three sabotage locations are in the top right and center of the map. This means that a traitor can easily lure a teammate out of the left and bottom-right sections. In addition, there are no doors on this map that can be locked.
Security system : toAs we noted earlier, there are no video cameras at this location. But instead of them, a unique " Doorlog " feature has been added. This feature keeps track of up to 20 player passes that passed the sensor in the upper right corridor. If the traitor does not visit this part of the map, then he should not worry too much.
The most dangerous zone : when entering the decontamination zone, doors will close for a few seconds behind and in front of you. If you entered this area with a traitor... Well, chances are you won't make it out alive. The impostor will simply leave this location through the ventilation system.
Polus
Polus is a large snow map with 15 rooms. The gameplay on this map is slightly different from the others as the center of the map forms a large open area. There is also a system here that allows you to remotely check if the player is alive.
Map structure : two zones on the east and west sides are connected by corridors and rooms. The middle part is completely open and forms a large area with several "free" rooms. So your mobility depends on where you are on the map. If you are an impostor who decides to kill in the sample room, be aware that you will have to exit through a long corridor and a decontamination room. On the other hand, get the kill next to the pantry and you can leave in any direction.
Ventilation System : By and large, there is no ventilation on this map - just 12 holes in the ground. They are divided into four related systems. While some of them are close to each other, others, on the contrary, are very far away. It is worth remembering that there are no such holes in the right side of the map and in the lower left side. If you separate the top and bottom halves of the map, you will see that the bottom half has only four holes, while the top half has eight. Because of this, the traitor will most likely stick to the top of the map.
Sabotage Locations : There are three sabotage locations, as well as the ability to close doors. The traitor cannot sabotage in the lower right corner of the map ( he does not have such an opportunity ), which means that being in this zone you will be relatively safe. TIt is also important to know that a crew member can open a door locked by a traitor on their own.
Security system : Like the standard map, the Polus location has a security system. There are six large video-surveilled areas scattered throughout this map, but you can only watch through one camera at a time.
The most dangerous zone : beware of small disinfection rooms in which you can temporarily stay alone with another player.
Vitals: This unique feature allows players to check who is alive and who is not. Vitals can be found in the room on the right side of the office.
