Memorize these hotkeys to make it easier to survive in the harsh world of Valhalla, and become the best Viking in the Scandinavian underworld!
Important hotkeys for movement and combat Valheim
- R - Hide equipped weapons to negate the movement speed penalty.
- Q - automatic run. When you need to overcome a long distance, it allows you to unload your hands (fingers).
- RMB during automatic running changes the direction of movement.
- Hold SHIFT to select the height of the ground when using the hoe and level it accordingly. Aim at the height you would like to get and then hold SHIFT.
- To disable snapping to objects during construction, hold down the same SHIFT key.
- Mouse wheel activates special attacks. They are unique for each weapon type!
Hotkeys for building and interacting with Valheim houses
- X - sit down. This is a really useful feature when you need to get to hard-to-reach places during construction.
- Left SHIFt + LMB - Use to separate items in your inventory. This will open a slider that will allow you to select the number of items left on the stack.
- Hold E to harvest farms. You don't need to click the button every time. Can you just hold it and pick up all the products during the movement??Niya.
Hot keys for Valheim map
- Keys , and . (comma and period) can be used to zoom in or out on the minimap.
- Double-clicking on the icons on the right will place them on the map. When placing an icon, you will be prompted to enter a text message.
- LMB on the map to cross out objects by marking them with a large X. Ideal for marking all the completed dungeons!
- RMB on the map will remove the set markers.
- Open the map and pay attention to the toggle switch in the lower right corner. By activating it, you can hide the current position of the Viking, or vice versa, show it to all players on the server.
- Mousewheel - Pings the location and alerts all players on the server about it.
Valheim Interface Hotkeys
- F2 - check how many "instances" are loaded on the map. The more of these objects, the higher the ping (latency) will be.
- F5 - open the console line. Used to enter cheats.
- CTRL+F3 - disable the interface. Great for taking screenshots!
