Baldur's Gate 3 allows you to change the characteristics of your characters. Withers, a friendly undead character at your camp, will help you with this, providing reset services in exchange for gold. He can also revive dead comrades or provide mercenaries for a fee.

Character reset in Baldur's Gate 3

• Must be level 2 or 3
• Having at least 2 companions
• master keys
• Trap Disposal Kit.

First, find Withers. It is located in the Dark Crypt near where you start the game after the ship crash. From the shipwreck, just head north along the beach until you find the spot where Shadowheart is trying to open the ancient door.

Use lockpicks and luck to open this lock. If you cannot open the lock, there are other ways to the crypt, but they are much more dangerous.

Finding Withers in the Dark Crypt

If you managed to enter through the ancient door, there will be two rooms in front of you. There are two traps in the first room: ventilation holes on the floor and a fire trap on the walls. Traps are activated after opening the sarcophagus in the middle of the room. In the presence of a set of both?Embedding traps can be applied to air vents. The button on the column to the right will disable the traps.

Even if you set up traps, you need to grab the loot from the sarcophagus in the middle of the room (it contains a key) and then run to the next room.

Large oak doors to the north lead to another large crypt with a statue against the far wall. Search the corpses around, they will resurrect soon. A button will appear on the northwest side of the statue. When pressed, a secret door will open leading to Withers' sarcophagus. The corpses will come to life if you managed to inspect them, then it will be easier to fight. Then search them again and take the gold from the pockets.

Another path to the Dark Crypt

The first way is through the chapel.

If you can't open the lock, follow the entrance to the chapel, which you will find on the hill north and west of the ancient door. At the entrance to the chapel, you will encounter several bandits (you can fight them or scare them into leaving). There is also a section of stone floor that is crumbling near the statue. If you walk on this part of the floor, it will break and your group will fall down. You can also shoot the rope holding the stone above it.

After landing, you will have to fight the bandits behind the wall. Note the locked door with no handle or lock. After defeating the bandits, go through the refectory until you find ?one more statue. Behind her, there is a skull on the wall. This is a lever. Pull to open the door in the first cell. Go into the room and follow to the Dark Crypt .

The second way is through a wooden hatch.

Pass by the entrance to the chapel, look for a narrow path along the coast overlooking the beach. Follow the path north and you'll find a hatch. Hack it and go to the Dark Crypt .

How to Bring Withers to Your Camp

To recruit Withers, you just need to talk to him. He will ask you a question about life and death, and then jump back. (Don't forget to take his sarcophagus.) You'll see Withers again once you've set up camp, when he's resting on a boat near the water.

To reset a character or any companion, simply speak to Withers. Tell him you want to change class and for 100 gold you will be taken to the character creation screen.

Note : You cannot change your appearance here, only your class and the distribution of your ability points.

As soon as you change class, you will again get the first level and can immediately increase it.
