Endless Abyss in ZZZ - Walkthrough

Endless Abyss is a special order in Zenless Zone Zero, in which you have to dive into the cavern as deep as possible. Despite the fact that it is Endless, in fact, this task has an end point. The main problem of this place is the infections. As soon as you get the 5th infection, the mission will be completed. It opens at the 40th level of Internot.

So, the Endless Abyss is not actually endless. In total, it has 99 floors, but the deeper you go, the more difficult it is to move along these floors. This is due to the infection mechanics that you learned about at the very beginning of Zenless Zone Zero. If earlier this corruption was a minor nuance, then in the Endless Abyss, this mechanic will become a stumbling block and what will cause your run to end time after time. Once you get the fifth infection, you will be automatically thrown out of the Endless Abyss. To get to the 99th floor, you need to learn how to manage Pressure, which is what causes the infections.

To be clear: Pressure increases when you move on red tiles or tiles that have something inside that is not related to reducing pressure. Tiles that you have already passed do not increase pressure.

It all starts on the first floor. You will receive a special item called a navigation beacon. The main thing is that every time you use a portal, you will move to the next level of the abyss. And so you need to get to the 99th.

You need to leave each floor as quickly as possible, getting as little Pressure as possible. As you progress, you will inevitably encounter infections. To minimize damage, plan your route through rest areas.

Note that only rest areas with a blue color on the tile reduce pressure. Green rest areas instead restore the health of agents. There is no need to stand on green zones unless you need to heal agents and can take less pressure.

Blue zones are not on every floor. They may not even be on several floors in a row. Every time you move to a new floor, you are given 1 Nav Beacon. With it, you can make a copy of the cell you are on, and then it will definitely appear on the next floor! This works on almost all types of tiles, except for hostile ones. To use a Nav Beacon, stand on the tile you want to copy and use an item from your inventory.

The copied tile will appear somewhere on the next floor. For example, if you copy a blue rest area, that tile will appear on the next floor. However, you cannot determine exactly which cell it will appear on. It always happens randomly, but you can plan a route to the next exit depending on where the tiles appear. You can do this as many times as you want, on as many tiles as you want, as long as you have a Nav Beacon to use. Using the navigation beacons in the blue rest areas is crucial to getting to the 99th floor of the Endless Abyss.

When you reach the 5th floor, you will encounter your first enemy. This will be a standard combat encounter. You will have to kill this enemy to move on to the next floor. You will encounter enemies on every 5th floor!

You will also be allowed to remove the Corruption with gold coins, but if you use the beacons by duplicating the blue cells, you will not have to worry about removing the Corruption. Additionally, you will be guaranteed a blue rest area every 5 floors, so be sure to keep that in mind.

Finally, keep in mind that almost every floor after the 5th floor has enemies, and you should avoid them at all costs. Unlike other orders in Zenless Zone Zero, fighting enemies in the Endless Abyss does not give you any benefit. Instead, they increase your Pressure. Plan your route to avoid the enemies.

In addition to enemies, you should also avoid tiles that contain pure evil. These are tiles that, when interacting with, will cause you to accumulate a large amount of pressure. These tiles are usually marked in red or purple:

Basically, these are the basic tips. But you can also pick up a tranquilizer, which reduces pressure by 40 units.

Like any other item, they can be stored and used when needed. This is very important, because these items are essentially mobile rest areas that you can use when you need to urgently reduce Pressure. But even more importantly, these items can be copied to the next floor using a navigation beacon. Concentrated tranquilizers are quite rare at first, but as you progress deeper into the Endless Abyss, they will become more common.

Finally, as you progress, look for explorer tiles. These are tiles that, when interacted with, will allow you to talk to an NPC, also located in the Endless Abyss. This NPC will offer to take you to the exit on the current floor. Sometimes for free, sometimes you have to pay.

If you accept the offer, the NPC will move to the exit of the floor, making all the cells on the way safe. What's more, you can also copy the explorer!!!
