How to Solve the Fountain Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Both puzzles are crucial to completing the Vatican chapter, and if you need help, below are the solutions to both fountain puzzles.

Before tackling either puzzle, it's important to understand how the new entrance mechanism works. After completing the Fountain of Confession and the dragon statues, there are two more puzzles to solve on either side of the gate: the baptismal water puzzle and the ring puzzle.

The gate structure sits on a huge rotating circle, and to access these puzzles, you need to rotate the entire structure into the correct position. This is done by using the lever underneath the central dragon statue, with the help of Gina: push it to the left to reveal the baptismal puzzle, then to the right to reveal the reed ark puzzle.

After solving both puzzles, a small statue on the dais in front of the gate will be unlocked. You need to push it through the gate to reveal a spiral staircase leading down.

The Baptism Puzzle

This puzzle is considered the easiest of the two. All you need to do is move a few statues to pour a bucket of water into a bowl. Before you begin, be sure to take a photo of the statues to get 15 adventure points, which can be used to unlock one of the skill books. Next:

1. Move the left statue of the boy with the bowl all the way to the right.
2. Use Indy's whip on the ring above the right statue of the man with the bucket. This will fill the bucket with water.
3. Move the statue with the bucket to the statue with the bowl so that the water pours into it, which activates the first mechanism of the gate.

You can now rotate the gate structure using the lever to begin the second puzzle.

The Ark of Reeds

The goal of this puzzle is to use the three rotating sections of the circle to create a straight path from left to right, allowing you to move the ark. You can rotate the ring 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise using the vertical stone levers. However, there are two wooden beams that block some positions, and you need to remove them.

Here is the easiest way to solve this puzzle:

1. Turn the outer ring clockwise twice to remove the first wooden beam.
2. Turn the outer ring counterclockwise once.
3. Turn the middle ring clockwise once.
4. Turn the center circle clockwise twice to remove the second beam and complete the straight path.
5. Use the whip to pull the ring above and to the right of the mechanism, allowing the Ark of Moses to cross the circle.

After completing the second puzzle, the gate structure will return to its original position. You then need to push the small statue through the gate to reveal a twisted staircase leading to the secret monastery of the Order of the Nephilim. There you will find new challenges, including the Silver Path Riddle and the Golden Path Riddle, as well as many other puzzles.
