Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Guide - How to Deal with the Cumans

How to Start the Cuman Quest

After completing the prologue, when you are free again, you will probably return to the tavern where the fight with Sir Ptacek took place earlier. This time, you may witness another brawl.

Avoiding Conflict

If you want to avoid a fight, you can intervene in the conflict between the Cumans and the locals by taking on the role of a peaceful waiter. However, if you decide to side with the locals and take out a weapon, this may lead to problems with the guards.

It is best to simply not interfere and after the fight talk to the innkeeper Beta, Wujtek or the Cumans themselves. We recommend not to ruin your reputation by talking to these bandits, and it is better to talk to Wujtek, who was an active participant in the fight and is very outraged by the behavior of the Cumans. He will ask you to deal with them by any means possible.

Urgency of the task

Do not postpone the completion of this task, otherwise you may become a witness to a real massacre that cannot be prevented. This will happen if you do not find the Cuman camp and end up in Troskovitsa at the wrong time. If I reloaded and just waited in the inn, nothing happened.

If the Cumans return to the inn, this will lead to the failure of the quest and the death of several important characters.

How to find the Cuman camp

If you have already visited the gypsy camp west of Troskovitsa, you probably noticed the Cuman camp located below by the pond. Finding the camp

To find the camp, turn left before the cart at the entrance to the camp and go down the narrow path between the rocks. Now you need to decide how to deal with the Cumans without disturbing the gypsies and without putting yourself in danger.

How to effectively eliminate the Cumans

The Cumans will not be the first to attack you, but the problem is that they are not always found in the camp. This gives you the opportunity to poison their food in the cauldron or wine in the barrel, if you have poison.

Preparing the poison

You can brew poison on the alchemy table or buy it from some merchants, for example, from the herbalist Aranka, who is located in the gypsy camp. However, in some cases the cauldron may be empty, and if the Cumans do not drink the wine, you will have to resort to more active measures.

Using ambush tactics

Despite the limitations in the game, you can still use ambush tactics. Find a suitable place where you can't be reached, for example, a cliff to the left above the camp, from which you can jump onto the ledge.

Before starting the attack, it is recommended to stock up on a bow or crossbow and ammunition. It is also worth buying the potion "Living Water" from Aranka to safely descend after the attack.

Carrying out an attack

After climbing onto the ledge, save and wait until night, when the Cumans return to the camp. Then start shooting at them. Usually, they don't even have time to take up arms, and you will be able to complete the quest.

After a successful attack, drink the potion "Living Water" to avoid injury when falling, and carefully go down. This will help you stay healthy.

Reward for completing the quest "Invaders"

Unfortunately, for successfully completing the task, you will only receive gratitude from Beck and 25 groschen from Wuytek. However, this method will bring you many valuable trophies from the defeated Polovtsians, which can be sold profitably to a gypsy fence, a miller in Nizhny Semin, or merchant Yurg Temel in Troskovitsa.

Additional trophies

Pay attention to the chest in the tent, the keys to which are in the possession of a Polovtsian named Vasco. After the first attempt to search, you can return and find that the chest has again contained skins, silver jugs, and a mace with armor elements. This may be a bug that has already been fixed, but perhaps you will be lucky.

Now that the camp is empty, you can spend the night near the gypsy camp, where you will be given a bed only after completing the long quest to find the baron's daughter.
