How to beat the Dire Bear, all about the bear form in V Rising

After unlocking the bear form, this might seem like a rather useless ability. We thought so too - but over time, we found some interesting uses for the bearish form and fell in love with it.

V Rising Bear Form: How to Defeat the Dire Bear

The boss is quite difficult and severely punishes players who are not ready for his attacks.

The she-bear periodically growls and enters a state of rage, receiving a large bonus to movement and attack speed. It is this phase that causes the most problems and you should prepare for it in advance. Try not to use the move to rage skill, as without it you will most likely lose at least half your health.

After using the move skill (by space), you leave behind an illusion for 2.2 seconds. - it is necessary to make the Bear attack her as long as possible. If you start attacking the boss right after jumping, she will immediately switch to you instead of an illusion, so don't do that and let her attack your shadow.

Jumping alone is usually not enough to avoid this phase, so you'll need another skill to defend yourself. We recommend the Crimson Aegis (unlocked by killing Grayson the Armourer), which grants a shield and knocks back nearby enemies.

In general, this is the whole strategy. The rest of the attacks usually don't cause too much trouble and can be dodged on foot if you're not careless.

What gives the form of a bear?

Transform into a powerful creature capable of destroying massive resources. Increasesyour resistances by 25, movement speed by 15%, and reduces damage taken by 25%. You regenerate health slightly faster in this form.

In battles, the bear is pretty useless. His attacks are pretty slow and don't do much damage.

But there are surprisingly many uses for the bear shape.

Destruction of massive resources

Massive resources are those large chunks of copper that cannot be destroyed in massive ways.

The bear form can be used to make room for your castle if these objects get in your way. However, you will not receive resources for this. But then you don't have to spend explosives - it's hard to say which alternative is better.

Note that the gate to the Bandit Stronghold is also considered a massive object and can be destroyed in the form of a bear. However, it is easier to use explosives - you still need sulfur (sulphur) to build a forge (smithy).

Farm Resources

From the description of the ability, it may seem that it is impossible to farm resources for a bear. This is wrong. Resources do not drop out only if you destroy resources with a powerful attack on the Q key.

That is, you can first hit the ground, and then finish the resources with your paw. In this case, all items will fall out in full.

The advantage of this approach is that it allows you to farm multiple resources at the same time.It turns out much faster! Remember that the bear form takes into account the characteristics of the weapon that is currently equipped.

Important! The Worker blood resources bonus does not apply to the bear form, since the resources do not go directly to your inventory, but fall to the ground after the object is destroyed. Alas.

Health regeneration

Here, in principle, everything is pretty straightforward. If you don't want to waste your blood on healing and don't have any potions on hand, then just use your bear form to lick your wounds a little faster.

Bear - tank

Surely this happens to you regularly: you died, and you have to run from the nearest teleport to your container through a crowd of enemies.

The first thought would be to use the wolf form and try to maneuver through the hail of projectiles. However, the bear form is much better suited for this, because, unlike the wolf, when you take damage, you will not lose the transformation.

That being said, don't forget that bears are actually pretty nimble: +15% movement speed. Not as fast as wolves (which have +45%), but it's enough to comfortably avoid most attacks.

And if they do get you, the 25% damage reduction bonus will come in handy, and you will make up for lost health with increased health regeneration.

A nice bonus is the increased resistance to fire.nu (so that it was empty for you, archers with fiery arrows!), as well as resistance to the sun.

bear eating garlic

We all go through this - for the sake of woolen threads (Wool Thread) and cotton (Cotton), we climb into Danlí farms up to our ears and plow with garlic, after which we have to ventilate for a long time.

Back at base, use Bear Form to increase Garlic Resistance by 25. First of all, your maximum Garlic level will go down and you'll get rid of several stacks of Garlic almost immediately.

For example, if you had a maximum of 100 stacks (at 0 resistance), then using the form of a bear, after a few seconds, you will reset them to 82.

Also, as long as you have resistance to garlic, you will "ventilate" much faster. For example, with a resistance of 25, you will get rid of the penalty as much as 2 times faster!

We don't yet know how useful the resistance bonuses to holiness, silver, and fire in bear form are, but it won't hurt to keep that in mind.
