How the player progression system will work in New World

New World is a massive new MMORPG being developed by Amazon's in-house game studio. Its official release should take place very soon, but for now, the site has news that tells about the player's progression system.


To begin with, each hero will have a set of familiar attributes. After creating a character, the game will allow you to distribute the first 5 points between them. Subsequently, attribute points will be awarded for new levels, while the maximum value of each attribute will be 60 units. For a small fee, all this can be dumped and redistributed.

Next comes trading skills. They are divided into three branches: crafting, gathering and processing (turning raw materials into different materials). Finally, you will be able to upgrade weapons. Weapon points will be awarded for experience gained by using a particular type. Active and passive weapon skills are usually divided into two branches. For example, in the case of an ax, there are berserk and throwing branches. However, you must remember that you will not be able to invest in every branch to the maximum. Will have to choose.
