How to build a mine in Medieval Dynasty

The mine opens after you have accumulated 5000 construction points. Iron, stone and salt are mined in it. Building a building is allowed only in front of the entrance to the caves. Every year the mine goes deeper into the cave. Sooner or later you will empty this cave. Upon completion of construction, a 100 kg chest and 2 slots for workers will appear inside. It is taxed at 30 coins.

How to mine iron, salt, stone

There are not many caves on the map, so it is likely that you will have to build a mine far from your settlement. However, this does not affect the work of the miners assigned to the mine in any way, since the resources are automatically produced if a settler is assigned to any workplace.

All resources are mined at once, but with a certain frequency:

  • 0.2 units of iron per hour
  • 0.5 units of salt per hour
  • 1.5 stone per hour

Miners need pickaxes to mine iron and salt!

What resources are needed to build a mine

For construction, you will need 20 logs and 12 sticks.

How to create a pickaxe

The iron pick is used for self-extraction of stones and limestone from mountain porod, as well as salt and iron from stone deposits in mines (miners). It can also be used as a weapon. Pickaxes can be bought from Jan in Hornitz.

The blueprint for crafting a pickaxe is unlocked with 500 crafting points and can be purchased for 150 coins. It can be crafted with 1 log and 4 iron using an anvil at the forge. Villagers can craft pickaxes from available materials if assigned as blacksmiths and equipped with a wooden or iron mallet.
