2021 Anime Expo is over, but it wasn't until Tuesday that Disney and Lucasfilm revealed the official trailer for Star Wars: Visions . The 9-episode animated anthology will premiere in September this year on Disney Plus. Fans will be able to experience the Star Wars universe in Japanese anime style. These will be short films with Japanese and English voice actors.
Vision is produced by several Japanese studios including Kamikaze Douga, Geno Studio (Twin Engine), Studio Colorido (Twin Engine), Trigger, Kinema Citrus, Science Saru and Production IG. Each short features a distinctive visual style.
During the Anime Expo, Lucasfilm Executive Producer Jacqui Lopez stated:
Each of the studios we approached are avid Star Wars fans. Each wanted to tell their own story.
Along with the new trailer, Disney announced who will be voicing the characters for the Japanese version and the names of the characters for the first nine episodes. They also resorted to the help of actors to create an English dubbing.
The success of the title is quite expected.
New heroes, new challenges.
Deadpool's world is dying.
