It seems that any modern action game contains at least one element from Dark Souls. Likewise, Lies of P by Round8 Studio is adapting Carlo Collodi's children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio into a spooky third-person hack-and-slash action adventure.
In Lies of P, you play as Pinocchio, a mecha puppet, who must fight his way through the plague-ridden European city of Krat to find the famous Geppetto. But this is not the only goal: Pinocchio must also discover the secret of Geppetto's disappearance.
The game seems to take more inspiration from Pinocchio's story than a direct adaptation of it. The plot of Collodi is familiar to everyone. Geppetto wants to become a famous puppeteer, so he carves a puppet out of an enchanted tree. The doll comes to life and finds herself in a tangled story with a real boy whose nose grows every time he lies. It is also a story about honesty and the consequences of a decision.
Below is the official trailer for the game:
The game still doesn't have a release date, but it has been reportedly built from the ground up for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
