Nacon acquires Daedalic Entertainment for $60 million

French publisher Nacon has announced the acquisition of Daedalic Entertainment. The German publisher and developer is best known for the Deponia series and the upcoming Lord of the Rings: Gollum . At the same time, you can list many other equally worthy games, including Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and Felix the Reaper .

The deal is valued at 53 million euros (about $60 million). It is noteworthy that prior to this, Nacon became the publisher of Lord of the Rings: Gollum. Nacon said Daedalic's current leadership team — CEO Carsten Fichtelmann and COO Stefan Harms — will " continue to run the company while retaining free rein in development and publishing ."

However, under the agreement, Nacon will acquire "100% of the shares of Daedalic Entertainment and receive full voting rights." The deal will be closed before the end of this year.
