Doom Slayers Collection announced for Switch (link to QuakeCon livestream)

If you dreamed of getting several classic and modern first-person shooters for the console at once, then you can do it in the near future. Doom Slayers Collection, a collection of DOOM video games, will be available on the Nintendo Store on September 2.

This is not a new compilation - the exact same one was released in 2019 forXboxand PlayStation. And it includes the classic games Doom , Doom 2 , Doom 3 , Doom 64 , and 2016's DOOM , a reboot of the series. As you understand, DOOM Eternal is not in the collection, and this is not surprising: the game is still quite fresh and the creators continue to support it in the Horde mode.

QuakeCon will be held from August 19 to 21, and it is expected that the official announcement of the collection will take place exactly then. It will focus on upcoming Bethesda games:

• Deathloop
• Fallout 76
• Quake Champions

But the most important surprise, which can no longer be a surprise: the announcement of a Quake remaster. The Entertainment Software Ratings Board lists the classic FPS coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch.
