It seems that Twelve Minutes sank into Hideo Kojima's soul so much that it even prompted him to create another adventure game.
The creator of Death Stranding and Metal Gear spoke about his love for Luis Antonio and Annapurna Interactive's new time loop thriller. On Twitter, Kojima stated that he is still trying to complete the game. He stated that he is still afraid of William Dafoe, who will play the role of a cop who breaks into an apartment at the end of each 12-minute loop and beats the main character.
The video game creator added that 12 Minutes "seems to spur me on to create another adventure game" - perhaps the best praise one can hear from one creative person in relation to another. While Kojima is best known as a creator of cinematic action games, he also led the development of Snatcher and Policenauts, point-and-click adventure games. This was long before A Hideo Kojima Game was written on the covers of games.
