Game insider Colin Moriarty has revealed in his new podcast that Dead Island 2's publisher, Deep Silver, may re-announce the project this summer. At the same time, the expected release is already scheduled for the fall of this year, but so far without exact dates (September or October).
Previously, DS itself has stated that it is actively working on the game, intending to release it in the current financial report. Recall that earlier the project (more precisely, its developers) faced serious production problems, which is why many fans of the franchise assumed that the sequel would not be released at all.
According to insiders, the scene of Dead Island 2 will be the same Los Angeles, and the gameplay will resemble the first part, but with a lot of improvements and new mechanics.
