Studio 343 Industries has officially announced that the release version of Halo Infinite will not have co-op and the Forge

The recently released developer diary for Halo Infinite upset fans: at release, it will be impossible to play the story campaign in co-op (along with friends), as well as use the Forge to create your own maps and mode scenarios. This news looks especially sad against the background of the fact that earlier the release of the game itself had already been postponed to the end of this year.

Meanwhile, 343 Industries is reassuring fans with the promise that the co-op will still be launched by the second season of the game, and the Forge by the third. The duration of each season is on average three months.

Halo Infinite head of creative Joseph Staten said in an interview that deferring development of both features is "a really difficult decision." According to him, he and the whole team plan to make the game as high-quality and stable as possible, but from a technical point of view, the co-op and Forge modes are not yet ready. However, the developers have already outlined the development plan for the game (as well as future content) for the first year.

As conceived by the creators, the release of Halo Infinite will take place at the end of the year on the Xbox and PC platforms. In addition, the game will also appear in Xbox Game Pass. The exact release date is still unknown.
