Bloomberg sources report that the administration of the Twitch streaming service is working on the idea of increasing the amount of advertising on the platform from top streamers. At the same time, the amount of profit from integrations for the leaders can be reduced, which is illogical, but quite in the spirit of a monopolist.

It is expected that the amount of deductions to streamers from broadcasts will decrease from 70% to 50%. The most successful channels may be asked to redistribute revenue from subscriptions to revenue from goods and services sold. To get more money, streamers will have to go through several stages and reach some levels in a system that is not ready yet.

The Twitch administration refuses to comment. It is reported that this idea is still at the concept stage and may not reach the release stage.
