Gaming insider Nick Baker revealed during another XboxEra podcast that Forspoken's release date could be moved to a later date. Previously, the release of the project has already been postponed from May of this year to October, but now fans will probably have to wait for next year.
The main reason for the schedule change may be the release of another major game called Final Fantasy XVI. The fact is that one team is developing both titles, and therefore, if the management of Square Enix decided to rush the team with one of them, the second will have to be pushed into the background.
In addition, according to the logic of marketing, the authors will not push both of their projects head-on in fierce competition. It is much more rational to release them at different times to give fans the opportunity to enjoy one of the new products.
The project is codenamed Half-Life X.
