The new Crysis Remastered Trilogy trailer made it possible to compare the graphics of the game on PS5 and PS3: the title looks incredible and quite logically looks much better on the latest generation console. To do this, the developers had to make numerous changes: over the past decade, the graphical possibilities have become incredible. Now the game looks sharper, brighter and runs much smoother at 60 FPS.
One area that has been markedly improved by Crytek and Saber Interactive is lighting. Now, many fast-paced episodes have a more distinct look and feel, rather than the gloomy atmosphere that was present when the original launched.
It's worth noting that we're talking about remasters, not full remakes, so while there aren't any flaws in the original Crysis that could be seen through all of this smoothing, the core gameplay will remain the same.
Last year, Cyrtek already released the original Crysis on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. The upcoming remaster of the entire trilogy has no set release date yet. But when it arrives, you'll be able to play Crysis Remastered Trilogy on Switch, PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X. However, the game will be available on the latter two platforms through backwards compatibility.
