Blizzard Studio held a presentation dedicated to the game Overwatch 2 , where we were shown a fresh trailer and shared new details about the project.
So, we were informed that the sequel will first go to early access, where it will stay indefinitely. All content from the first part will gradually migrate to the sequel, which will be distributed free of charge (except for the story campaign). Overwatch 2 will have a seasonal distribution model with a battle pass, each season will last 9 weeks.
And yes, loot boxes are a thing of the past, they will be replaced by this very battle pass.
Overwatch 2 enters Early Access on October 4th.
