Jeff Grubb: a new Deus Ex is in development that will surpass Cyberpunk 2077

Recall that on May 2, 2022, Embracer Group acquired Crystal Dynamics and Eidos, the authors of Tomb Raider and Deus Ex . The deal is valued at $300 million. The company also got the rights to all developer franchises.

Insider Jeff Grubb reported that Eidos Montreal will return to develop a new part Deus Ex . New writers have arrived at the studio and they promise to "do what Cyberpunk 2077 failed to do."

The latest entry in the series, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, was released in 2016. Due to poor sales, the game did not receive a sequel. Not so long ago, the writer of this game left the studio and is currently working on the new Mass Effect from BioWare.
