Rings of Power showrunners Patrick McKay and JD Payne have shared that it will take "a couple of years" to produce a second season.
It took the team 18 months to develop the first season. New filming began only on October 3rd. However, then, due to the pandemic, production was paused, so now the process should go faster.
In general, Amazon management is pleased with the view ratings - especially outside the US.
JD Payne:
Some works immediately receive the love of critics and a bunch of awards, but after a year no one remembers about them. But it also happens that something controversial becomes a classic, which is being revised even after 60 years. I think things will get better with time.
Recall that the series "Rings of Power" was released in September this year. This week will release its final episode.
