To say that this tournament was expected would be an understatement. Millions of esports fans from all over the world put aside their business to witness first-hand the battles involving the best players on the planet. Many of the fans not only watched how the competitions were going, but also tried to predict the outcome of the matches. To do this, they bet on DotA 2, adding excitement and adrenaline to their lives. But now the largest eSports championship has ended and the whole world has learned the names of the winners. Tundra Esports managed to reach the top of the professional Dota 2 scene by winning The International 2022 (TI11). Although the prize pool has been significantly reduced from what it was last year, Tundra Esports will take home a huge prize pool of $8,486,026. The winners will also receive glory, which will be immortalized in the coveted Aegis of Champions trophy. Team Secret - the team that lost the fight to Tundra Esports with a score of 3:0 in the grand final, on the contrary, will take second place and receive almost 2.5 million dollars.
In the first game, Tundra Esports greatly outperformed Team Secret as they used their infamous Naga Siren and Tusk combo with Tidehunter. Although Nisha, playing as Leshrac, did his best for the team in this game, the Tundra draft seemed unbeatable, and this team took the first game after 40 minutes.
In Game 2, Secret's Bristleback-Morphling combo with Resolut1on's Leshrac, while Tundra opted for a goal-driven draft picking Arc Warden, Visage, and Chaos Knight. Although the guys from Team Secret got off to a better start in the early stages, the Tundra draft proved unbeatable once again as a combo of Arc Warden and Chaos Knight secured victory on the second map after 40 minutes of intense play.
In Game 3, both teams opted for aggressive drafts, with Secret picking Naga Siren, Ember Spirit, and Leshrac as their main roster, while Tundra picked Medusa, Pangolier, and Beastmaster as their main roster. Although both teams were on an equal footing during the opening phase of the game, Tundra went on the offensive again as they managed to fend off Secret's attempts to kill their core heroes multiple times. In the end, Tundra won the third game after 44 minutes of scrimmage.
Thanks to the well-coordinated actions of all team players and skillful leadership, Tundra Esports left no chance for its opponents, having won the grand final with a score of 3:0. Thus,
Tundra Esports has immortalized its name in the Dota 2 history books. It remains for us to congratulate the players on the championship title, thank them for the spectacular game and wish them further victories.
