Game designer Todd Howard has shared new details regarding the series based on the Fallout franchise. According to him, the TV show will have a unique plot, but the events will unfold in the universe of video games.
Todd said that the authors will tell a story that will fit the world of Fallout, but will not affect existing story arcs.
The series will not break the rules of the universe and it may mention the events from the video games, but the retelling of their plot is completely excluded. The show exists in the same universe, but it is self-sufficient.
After the release of Fallout 3, the producers were looking for film companies that would create a feature film based on the video game. At the same time, the developers did not want to be limited to a two-hour film.
Bethesda waited for the moment and turned to the producers after Hollywood began to produce big-budget TV shows.
