Gaijin Entertainment announces that the Apex Predators Update for online military action game War Thunder is now available to players. The focus is on the 4th generation aircraft F-16, MiG-29 and Tornado, however, significant new items have appeared in all game modes. The voice acting of all ships has been redesigned, and carrier-based aircraft can now operate from five new aircraft carriers - Shokaku (Japan), Illustrious (Great Britain), Saratoga, Lexington and Enterprise (USA). Ground vehicles include the exotic American M728 engineer tank with a 165mm gun, the French Char 2C bis super-heavy tank, and the Jordanian Khalid MBT. More than 20 aircraft and helicopters now have a weapon designer, and the mechanics of external fuel tanks now work for the new top aircraft.
Simultaneously with the release of the update, the Winter Quest event started, in which players complete missions and fight for prizes - decorators, camouflages and four rare models of vehicles, including the Tornado IDS Marineflieger (a German modification of the European Tornado fighter-bomber). It is intended for naval strike aircraft, so the Marineflieger does not have access to adjustable bombs, but the aircraft can take the new AS.34 Kormoran guided anti-ship missiles into battle.
