Metroid is one of the most popular game series, and the release of each new game is an incredible event. We have already been shown several videos in which they talked about new features. And now a new trailer has been released, where you can find out more about the new enemies that Samus will fight. We are also shown his incredible abilities and game locations.
In June, Brian Shea told everyone why the development of Metroid Dread took so long. Surprisingly, the Metroid Dread title itself appeared back in 2004.
Game producer Yoshio Sakamoto says:
At the time when the idea was born, there was no decent hardware to implement it. Technological concepts did not match our vision. We had to postpone it. Then, after some time, we started working again, but after that we stopped again for the same reasons.
Mercury Steam also released Metroid: Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS in 2017, while Metroid Dread is due out less than a month later on October 8, 2021.
So far, both games are in the early stages of development.
The success of the title is quite expected.
