Back 4 Blood trailer gives some insight into the plot of the bloody shooter

Many regard Back 4 Blood as a co-op shooter to have fun in, so it's easy to forget that the game has a driving force - a story about a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies. The new trailer of the game touches on the storyline and tells you about such an important element as storytelling.

The video does not contain many plot details, but introduces you to the "mother" - the foul-mouthed leader of the eight Purifiers. You will also learn about the emergence and spread of the "devil worm" - a mysterious parasite that has turned most of the population into mindless, bloodthirsty monsters.

Back 4 Blood is being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, a team of former Left 4 Dead developers. This game will be the spiritual successor to the popular Valve series. You can play it in co-op with up to four gamers who must mow down hordes of infected. Each Purifier will have their own perks and debuffs available through the card system. In addition to co-op, Back 4 Blood also features a competitive "Swarm" mode, in which teams of humans and zombies fight each other.

Back 4 Blood is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28th. It is noteworthy that at the time of release, the shooter will be available for free to Xbox Game Pass owners.
