Viewers will be introduced to the new monsters in Silent Hill 2

More recently, the main cast of Return to Silent Hill, which is based on Silent Hill 2, became known. The director showed the designs of new monsters.

Return to Silent Hill is being directed by Christophe Hahn, who created Silent Hill in 2006.

It was revealed yesterday that Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Anderson are heading up the reboot. Irwin is best known for his films War Horse (2011) and The Woman in Black: Angel of Death (2015). Anderson is best known for the 2017 horror film Inside Out and the TV series The Purge, which ran for two seasons from 2018 to 2020.

In the film, viewers will be told about James Sunderlande (Irwin), who was called to Silent Hill in search of his wife Mary (Anderson). Producer Victor Hadida shared that the audience is waiting for new monsters.

“Christoph and I are working closely with our partners at Konami who are updating the video game to also create a version of Silent Hill for a modern audience. You will still find iconic monsters, but there will be new designs as well. We are confident that the new film and updated game from Konami will continue to grow the franchise for years to come."

Hadida also announced a relationship with the studio with Konami, which, together with The Medium developer Bloober Team, is working on the release of the PS5 remake of Silent Hill 2.
