Adam Kiczynski, CEO of CD Projekt Red, revealed today that Project Polaris is The Witcher 4 game.
During the CDPR conference call, Adam discussed the studio's move to Unreal Engine 5 in partnership with Epic Games.
“We are preparing for this from the pipeline and toolbox side. Some developers are still learning about the technology, while at the same time there are teams working together with Epic on the aspects that are essential for our open world RPGs. For the first project, Polaris, this may not slow down, but it will not speed up the process either.”
He went on to say:
“But for the next projects, we assume that this should smooth out the production process. That was one of the reasons why we chose the strategy whereby we want to release three big Witcher games within six years, starting with the release of Polaris, which is Witcher 4."
Recall that the game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt came out with a subtitle. The Witcher 4 is also likely to get its own name.
He will be the last one for the game.
An incredible success for the studio's debut project.
In short, the company is aware of the problem and is solving it.
It will be an animated prequel series.
