The CW is ending production of The Winchesters after Season 1. The authors of the project could not attract a sufficient audience to it, and therefore the creation of the 2nd season is losing its relevance for them.
The project was produced by Jensen Eccles, who played Dean Winchester in the original story. The Winchesters were supposed to tell the story of his parents, Sam, who were just starting their path as evil spirits hunters. But, apparently, people were not particularly interested in watching their adventures and personal experiences.
