At the last PlayStation Showcase, many expected the appearance of Naughty Dog, which was supposed to tell the latest news about the multiplayer game in The Last of Us universe. However, the studio did not come to the event, and now we know the reason.
The fact is that the developers need more time to work on the title, as the game turned out to be very ambitious. Accordingly, Naughty Dog does not want a repeat of the previous failure with the release of the PC port, so the team of authors decided to work harder to make the new product as high quality as possible.
Given the above, we can hardly expect any news about the game at the Summer Game Fest. And, in general, the chances that the new product will be released in 2023 are less and less.
So far, both games are in the early stages of development.
The success of the title is quite expected.
