Game journalist Jeff Grubb said that, indeed, the rumors that appeared on the network earlier about the existence of a remake of Final Fantasy 9 have a solid foundation. His sources also say that the game is in development, but no specific details about it yet.
According to Grubb, the remake of the 9th part of the franchise will not have such a large budget as the remake of the 7th. Thus, a rethinking of the role-playing game is not worth waiting for, most likely we will be met simply by updated graphics, textures and support for modern chips of nextgen consoles.
A release date for the remake has also not been announced.
