Taking a look at Blizzard's new job listing, one can conclude that the company is developing an open-world role-playing game with first-person shooter mechanics.
The Exputer portal noticed an ad looking for an employee who will become an assistant content designer for an unannounced project. There is no specifics about what the project might be, but there are some important clues in the job description. First, it requires someone who can design and implement "new open world events and content" and "understand RPG reward mechanics".
An additional advantage of the candidate may be "previous experience in designing online and multiplayer games" or "experience in FPS". While World of Warcraft , which is an online game that can be adapted to an open-world format and even include some FPS mechanics, could meet these requirements, this description makes the project look more like Fallout's Wasteland than Warcraft's Azeroth.
Blizzard already has one first-person shooter in the Overwatch series. The unannounced role-playing game with shooter elements could easily be Overwatch 2 were it not for the fact that every gamer already knows about it.
New heroes, new challenges.
Deadpool's world is dying.
No release date for the adaptation has been given yet.
