The creator of the series of games about Prince of Persia, Jordan Mechner, said that the Ubisoft studio, at some point, was developing Prince of Persia 3. The project was in production until 2019, but then for some reason it was canceled.
Mechner does not know the reasons for this decision, but he regrettably claims that this is the second time that a title with this name has been closed. The first time Prince of Persia 3 was planned to be released back in 1993, then they wanted to give it a second chance, but it didn’t work out.
Currently, Ubisoft has serious problems with the continuation of the Prince of Persia series. Not long ago, the remake of The Sands of Time was sent for remake after the original version received devastating criticism after the trailer was shown.
The information was also confirmed by another reliable source.
The samurai action game couldn't beat out only Helldivers 2 and God of War.
So far, both games are in the early stages of development.
