The Digital Foundry team conducted a technical analysis of the new arcade racing game The Crew Motorfest , which was released on September 14. Experts looked at how the game now feels on PCs and current-generation consoles.

From the report it follows:

  • PS5 and Xbox Series X offer dynamic 4K/30 FPS and dynamic 1440p/60 FPS (drops to 1152p); FSR 2 is used for reconstruction; visually the versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X are identical

  • In high FPS mode, the quality of trees, shadows and drawing distance is lower

  • On Series S, dynamic 1440p/30 FPS with drops to 1152p, uneven framepacing

  • Older consoles run at an almost perfect 60 FPS, but sometimes there are dips of up to 50-55 FPS; Series X uses Adaptive V-Sync

The Crew Motorfest received quite positive reviews from players and critics.
